Some one asked me to post this survey on FoE protagonists. · 11:56pm Feb 14th, 2016
So a person in the IRC put up a poll for a FoE protagonist for a story based on fallout 4. I thought it was an interesting survey, so hopefully they can get some more info.
. . . Why are zeburs not in the survey? We just don't get enough love do we T-T?
Short survey.
Lacks an option for 'write something original rather than ape Bethesda's bad writing'.

To be fair, they improved a lot on storytelling in Fallout 4 . . . . . . . or that's what I felt until I met the BoS. Other than that, everything was fine, especially the sidequests.

The side characters' stories were well written and interesting, as were a handful of quests... shame none of them were the main plot quest, where one of the factions was intentionally reduced to fascistic idiocy just because and the other was quietly monstrous.
On top of the Commonwealth being full of survivors, but apparently still covered in pre-war resources and bodies two centuries after the blast. I mean, I guess that's a thing. I really wish they'd have learned from Interplay and Black Isle (and their successors at Obsidian) and acknowledged that as much time has passed in-setting since the War as it took to build America in the first place.
Also, seriously, how many people knew how to make F.E.V? Sheesh.

Your talking about a faction that is capable of creating Synths, and have teleportation. What can't they do, other than failing to realize that they can't make the "perfect human".

Apparently anything useful. They're just a rehash of the Brotherhood and Enclave. 'Oh, we have all this supertech, but aren't going to use it to improve anything because screw you we got ours'.
The whole Blade Runner thing with synths as replicants was interesting, but the overall plot's a mess.

I didn't really think of them as a Rehash of the Enclave . . . mostly because I just felt the Enclave were just cartoon villains in 3. I actually rather enjoyed the Institute as an antagonist, mostly since I got the Red Eye vibe from them (something that I've constantly tried to find in Fallout games but hadn't found it.) But your entitled to your opinion. I honestly think it could of been worse, but it could certainly be better.
"Married with foal" is an extremely, extremely bad idea. It was one of the main reasons why Fallout 4 wasn't as great as it could have been.
OH look.... I can pick out my story in the questions. Time to get back to work before somepony beats me to that FO4 crossover ^_^
3756027 I have no idea when, or even if, he's going to write it. He's so far been bouncing ideas off me and he's got interesting ideas, but I think he wants me to write it for him.

As much as I liked the story of FO4 it still was missing a few options to get the ending I would have wanted. If you write it though I'll read it. When I get around to it. I finished kKats for a second time and am a third of the way through Horizons again. That and writing has taken the vast majority of my rapidly shrinking free time.
Awww, it's sadly no longer open...
