Hey guys ^-^ After a few depressing blogs about me ranting on about a bunch of stuff no one cares about, it's time I blog about something that I hope does spark your interests. If you have subscribed to my YouTube, you may have already seen my video telling you that today I will be making this blog. Well, what is this blog?
I'm taking Snippet requests. :D (Don't know what Snippets are? Check out this link ^-^)

To be honest, I have been putting this off for a few months ever since I started Snippets. Why? Well... As for one reason, I'm that kind of person that doesn't want someone that submits their story to feel sad or even angry when I don't choose it. However, hopefully I'll make this clear enough: If I do not pick your story, it doesn't mean it can't be resubmitted and possibly chosen in the future. In fact, later on, I might come back to this post and choose one of the stories when I've ran out of first, second, and third place winners. Winners? Yep. Just a title. Once again, if your story gets chosen, great! If not, don't feel bad. Probably not my personal taste, that's all.
To make everything a lot easier, I'll make some rules and guidelines below. But please understand this before you get angry at me or anything- I do not feel comfortable posting a promotion for a story that has morals in it I personally disagree with. If you want to do your own reading/trailer/video/blog on the story, you can. But I am not going to do something I disagree with. Not trying to be rude... Just trying to stay clear. I've been in this incident before, and I was really offended because I stated my opinion and was attacked. Ok, with that out of the way, here's my requirements. Any stories that do not follow the requirements I will tell you politely so that you have the chance to fix which story you submit. Once again, if you subscribed to my YouTube, my video went over the main rules.
Must be a published story.
Must be SFW.
Does not have to be completed, but it cannot be on hiatus either. So... That means incomplete or competed stories only.
Must be from this website.
You have to follow me here on FimFic or be subscribed to me on YouTube.
No stories involving heavy gore, curse words, same sex shipping*, polygamy, incest, or support of illegal activity (such as the main characters being underage drinkers and drug dealers). *Yes, I am aware that same sex shipping and marriage is legal in USA and a few other countries. However, as an individual, it goes against my morals. That's why I put I here, to put all the stuff I don't want submitted into one place. Just makes it more organized.
You can only submit one story. If I tell you that your submission goes against the rules stated here, you have one chance to resubmit. If you are unsure if your story is an ok submission, PM me. I won't count it against you if it doesn't qualify because it technically doesn't count as a submission. ^-^ However, please don't do that for every story you send me.
It has to be your own story. No volunteering anyone else's work.
Must have at least decent grammar. I need to be able to read it without being confused.
Must submit your story by the due date. So... From right now to Feb 20th 2016.
If you have any questions, please PM me. I will be glad to clarify any rules or to answer anything you may have. I know I sound bossy and demanding in my rules, but please remember that I need to be specific to avoid receiving entries I would have to say no to.
Now, with the boring yet essential information out of the way, here's the bit of stuff I bet you're still curious about- the winners.
Yeah, winners. That's the title given to the first, second, and third stories I will choose. As I bet you can assume, the first place winner will be the first one to have their Snippet done. Second place will be the second story, and third place will be the last story to be posted as a Snippet from this contest.
But... What's the difference between all three besides order? Glad you asked. ^-^ I'll start third place up with this one:
Third place: I will do a separate video apart from the Snippet promoting your FimFiction account or YouTube channel, it's your choice which one I promote.
Second place: I will do a separate video promoting your YouTube channel or FimFic account, whichever you would prefer. I will also do a picture of a pony of your choice (that means characters from the show or an OC you created) in a free picture for you to keep.
First place: I will focus on a specific pony (including an OC if you prefer) of your choice in a short story, and like second place, I will do that pony in a free picture for you to keep. I will do a separate YouTube video promoting either your YouTube channel or FimFic account, your choice.
Every winner gets to choose the image used in the Snippet, the thumbnail*, background music, and the Snippet section. If you want to refresh yourself on what Snippets are, please see here. Also, please remember that I am an amateur at this... Anything YouTube related, really.
*The cover art of the story is the video thumbnail. However, if there is no cover art, you may choose an image of your choice.
So, if you want to submit, please send me a PM with your story linked! I will plan to close the contest on February 20th 2016. (Look above the pagebreak to see the status of the contest.) So far, I have very few entries. I encourage everypony to take part in it. ^-^
