Long stories, how do they work? (Important) · 8:17pm Feb 4th, 2016
At first I was like: "WOW AMAZING IDEA" and then I was like: '"Nah, I'm out."
How do you even long-story writers? Really, let's talk about it.
True royal and much important business, my friends.
Writing, planning, doing and editing long stories sucks, at least for myself. And yes, if you are asking yourself, this is yet another blog where I say 'sorry', but yeah, if you noticed I don't update 'My Life as a She-Demon Roommate' in almost one month. And it's not here anymore. Remember back in July, 2015, that I promised I won't do that again? Well, I suck. Pinkie will come at my house, since I broke a Pinkie Promise... oh shit. Anyways, I came to a conclusion I suck at doing long stories, even if I like the ideas. I have two of them and I personally love Inner Demons and kinda like Everything for a Princess, but it looks like I'm not made to do this kind of continuous story anymore... I discovered that one shots are my thing! Why? I simply have 6 story ideas for one shots and 2 of them are already made (and will be posted soon). But first, I'm sorry to Vital, Exterminate and Articuno for waisting their time. ONCE AGAIN. I'm so sorry, I wish I could do something about it. If anyone, I mean, anyone, wanna unfollow me for excluding the story, alright, I'll understand. But for those who stay, I have a PLENTY of stuff coming, like a THON of it, and they are as great as doing a long story.

First of all, I have my own process for doing long fanfics:
1 - Plan what the heck it's going to be about.
2 - Do at least three chapters first.
3 - Send to edition.
4 - Post.
5 - Write even more.
And so on. And I'm on vacation, how this relate to this all? Well, my work is ALSO writing, I'm head editor of an newspaper on my city, which is pretty good job, but also kinda stressing sometimes, but vacation is over in the 15th. I work for 6 hours, editing a LOT of things and also having to guide my workers of what to do and what specific errors to find in that specific news. As much as I like writing long stories, I suck at doing them because that or I am lazy or overworked. But one shots, I can simply sit on Saturday or Sunday or my day off (Fridays) and simply write them! Usually, I do one shots in one or two days, depending on their size or if I'm writing alone. I personally love one shots, why, you ask? Well:
1 - You can write less or even a lot, and still be a one shot (from 1k to 20k, it's a one shot, for me).
2 - You can do most of things you can with big stories.
3 - And I myself enjoy reading them more than long stories.
Most of people enjoy them more because reading a LOT of long stories can take a lot of time too, and writing them too. So, this time, I promise it will never happen again. Why? As I LOVE doing one shots, I'll post only one shots from now on! And for those who don't hate me for doing that again, I have TOO MANY one shots ideas, that will all come in the following months. And it won't give my editors so many work, I hope, it's also better for them, mainly Vital, who writes too and edits for a bunch more of other people. All of the stories may go from 1k to even 10k words, but probably no more than that!

What genres? Romance (mainly), really gay stories, some clop, emotional stuff and maybe, MAYBE some comedy. Also a Undertale crossover I have been waiting to do! (that is also kinda gay because of a really homo character there) So yeah, future is coming and I plan to post only one shots, it's even more fun, doesn't stress me and they're great! I personally prefer them and absolutely love doing them, as you may see with my stories, that are almost all one shots :3 
If you wanna have ideas of what will come, check this out. I hope everyone is okay with this, if you don't, you can say, I have no problem with it. Say if I'm a bitch. But as everyone got already, most of authors do this or post like stories with in maximum 3 parts (which I may do, but, of course, doing all chapters first). Also, well, I'm doing the stories, so it's for the better and because I like it more, sorry, once again

Write long shots it's a really pain in the butt, especially reading them. It takes so much time.
