Something I don't understand...

Why does everyone use sites/document creators to write their stories, and then save on a computer that you can't take the data from? The way you create chapters here works just as well, if not better, for writing because it's essentially Google Docs, but you don't need to do any transferring to get it here. I write 100% of the fics I have posted here with the site's own system because it works just fine. When you create a new chapter, it isn't that hard to just write the story there because it's already a blank document for your use, all you need to do is write.

Whatever, I guess everyone has their preferences, this is just mine.

I generally use GDocs (so my proofreaders and editor can get to my chapters to help me with stuff), but if this is easier, I'd use it more often.
I also use it because everything is kept online, so I don't have to worry about losing stuff if my comp goes Kablooey! like my previous laptop did.

I used Open Office, too, when I had a Windows computer (like my desktop PC, or previous laptop), and that's was pretty good for stuff.

Could you point me at it, I'll check it put.

Because I'm a clumsy moron who would click to submit when the chapter is only half done. Genuinly my only reason
