Welp, I've finally returned. I have a new story on the way, and takes place in an alternate universe roughly 100 years after season 4. Also super anthro, because Reasons. Hopefully it's enjoyable to read, because I'm really happy with the idea so far.

Twilight didn't think it could get much worse.
Celestia and Luna have retired from their rule, leaving the former's most prized student in charge as the ruler of the land. With her loyal bodyguard at her side, everything seems fine for a few days... until Chrysalis, queen of the changelings, seizes her opportunity and attacks the unsuspecting populace. Now, enemies are everywhere, and the head of the royal guard has her work cut out for her, as she must defend Twilight not only from assassination, but also from her own emotions.
