    Sorry about the delay

Sorry about the delay in posting chapters in Lily and the dragons. I am trying to get one ready before Christmas but as with all holidays it's hard to get other things done. If I can't get the next chapter out in December I'll get post it as soon as I can in January.

What do you think about this?

In my YouTube cruising I came across a video with a strange name that I just had to click on. It turned out to be very interesting and made me stop and think. Watch here
What do you think of it?

    Am I the only one?

Am I the only one who ever wondered about this; Ponies walk around necked all the time but they put up a screen or go in a changing booth in order to actually put cloths on. :twilightoops:

Life's biggest questions, for me · 5:08pm Jan 27th, 2016

If you have insight for one please let me know,

Do objects really have color or is it only the light? We see color because of the different wavelengths of the color spectrum with violet the shortest and red with the longest. Objects have different properties that absorb certain wavelengths and reflect others thus making us able to see color. So do objects really have no color and it's just the light that posses it or do they have color and the light just enables us to see it?

Why are people so personal and sensitive about opinions? Especially over things that have no importance? Like best Pokémon/character or what head cannons they believe?

Why can I never efficiently proofread my work even when I go through it bit by bit?

Why are some of the people who ranked to be the most "intelligent" and "smartest" in some regards/booksmarts also among the stupidest and stubbornly blind in other regards (which are probably the more important things?)

Why do athletes hate the smart kids/geeks when those geeks are the type of people who give them computers, smart phones and other technology that we love?

Why do we humans tend to believe things that sound more noble or prettier when we know that in reality that they are false? On the same note why do we want to believe lies when we know that sticking to the lies will be worse for us in the long run?

I don't think we are to know all things:twilightsmile:

3715855 That is actually a very good answer. I still wonder though.

1) Color is just a broad generalization of our ability to perceive certain refractions of the electromagnetic spectrum via the cones and rods of our eyes. In other words, color as a scientific principle doesn't quite exist, but it's the easiest interpretation for us. Plus, well, we came up with the term.

2) There's an adage I created when I hurt someone's feelings after I demolished their opinion. "An opinion is a person's outermost form of self-visualization, and as such, would honor it by defending it to the very end."

3) It's hard to see your own mistakes if you've been going back constantly. You need someone who is new to the story to take a look to catch any errors.

4) Well, as one of those "intelligent" bookish types, I can say it's because we (or I, I'm not sure about others) find that other "things" are more trivial and easier to ignore, making us seem more ignorant to typical conduct and such. Either that or we (I) are very blunt in our mannerisms and care not for "lesser beings."

5) That stereotype is dead.

6) You can sell a lie easier than a hard truth. It's easier to accept fantasy when reality is so messed up. The fake, the lie, and the fictional offer an escape for those tormented by the terrors of today.

3716512 Just to be clear I didn't mean that all people of book smarts are amoung that catagory. I'm sorry if it came off that way. It comes from people that I knew personally & people that I knew of. Don't get me wrong, I'm talking about some of my own friends here but one of the things that I encountered was that while they could tackle extremely complex ideas of science or math they could have trouble with simple (& often none the less important things in life) or be blind to many things. It was not an ignoring of things of things that they found trivial but the lack of understanding it or not seeing or wanting to see.
My own friends & some others have quite baffled me on this subject.
I personally suspected that it had to do with the types of intelligence Link here & simply the fact that no one has all of them but was seeking different opinions on the matter.

3717240 Well, according to your link, I more closely convey the Existential Intelligence, Linguistic Intelligence, and Intra-personal Intelligence.

It's more like it's not only easier to ignore the trivial, but also more efficient and logical to do so. That way, you have less distractions that prevent you from reaching your goal.

3717277 I too believe in keeping trivial things from being a distraction though the things I ment were not trival things. Like knowing when your hurting your family or understanding their importance. Or even knowing when your in danger. It goes further than that but I'll leave it there.
You actually wouldn't even be among the group I was refering to then. They would be in the mathematical/logical & I'm not saying that they are all like that. I myself am a good student but I knew people who could make my head spin with extreme math or computer database building. Outside of that though they lacked other insight such as intra-personal. Some had the logical side as in understanding their studies but lacked logic itself as the term is more commonly used. Over time I learned that some of it was self inflicted in some cases. I even like to learn science just for the sake of learning it but yet some of the dumbest things I have ever heard have come from esteemed scientists. It made me wonder how someone could have such high credentials but lack logic.
But anyway I've rambled on enough. I didn't intend for this to become a debate thread. Thank you for your thoughts on all the questions though.
