Alright fillies and gentle colts, I have a few new prompts for you guys that I'd like to see tackled.
Prompt #1: what happens when FlutterDash (pony form) meets FlutterDash (human form)? When Twilight brings the rest of the gang along to the human world, what kind of chaos ensues?
Prompt #2: Fluttershy hasn't seen Rainbow Dash since she was just a little filly, and her foalhood crush never went away. What happens when the love of Fluttershy's life turns up on her doorstep with nothing more than an overnight saddlebag, a bruised and bloodied face, and a request for a place to stay?
Prompt #3: Life has taken a downhill turn for the brazen and brash speedster and MMA star Rainbow Dash, but the upcoming tournament in Ponyville may be her shot at redemption. But after meeting the medical professional, the shy and demure Fluttershy, she may just find that her redemption lies not in a title, but within those soleful cyan eyes.
Prompt # 4: Rainbow Dash is the type of mare Fluttershy's parents most definitely wouldn't approve of. But in the here and now, wrapped in her lovers hooves and staring into those beautiful cerise orbs, Fluttershy finds that she really couldn't care less. Criminal!Rainbow Dash x Goodgirl!Fluttershy AU
Prompt #5: There's a side to everyone that no one knows about. Some intense passion they keep hidden from everyone else. For Rainbow Dash, that passion is chess. She's nothing short of a prodigy. But she knows her reputation would be ruined if anyone ever found out. In the neighborhood park she meets a shy and gentle girl, and through her learns that reputation isn't everything, nor should it get in the way of the things you love. Chessmaster!Rainbow Dash x Gamer!Fluttershy au.
So, what do you guys think? Anyone willing to give any of these a shot? Let me know in the comments.
1. Is sort of happening if you read the fic by Sage_Element...forget the name of the fic but I know it's by that person and I think it's called "Love and Care: Always" but I can't be sure...I know it's sort of easy to find so go do it.
2. I've seen that somewhere before but can't remember the name of the fic or the author...but I've seen a fic like that before on this site.
3. I've think you've told me about this one before or something like it and I've gave my opinions on it already.
4 + 5. No interest in. AU fics are really pointless in my mind because if it's in an alternate universe separate from the Canon universe....why make it fanfiction in the first place if you have ideas that have almost nothing to do with the show/characters. You might as well rename all the characters and make your own original story. My Flutterdash racing car story has this exact problem that nags me everytime I look at it. The "Why don't I just change the names and make it a completely original story?" because if you CAN change the names of all the characters and seem like an original fic...then...you know...why don't you? So no...no interest in these two at all.
3713112 I can see your point about AU's, but then again... Isn't Fanfiction entirely AU in and of itself? None of what we write here is actually canon. Based on your opinion that we could just change the names and universe and make it wholly original, well the same could be said for absolutely everything ever posted on a Fanfiction site. The interesting thing about AU's is that they give us a chance to explore our own takes on the characters and universes that we enjoy, without adhering to rigid character molds and back stories. That's not saying that they should allow you to completely overhaul the characters and universe with complete disregard to the original, as there definitely should be some adherence to it that makes us know that yes, this is the Rainbow Dash or Fluttershy that we know and love, and yes this is the Equestria we know and love, but at the same time they give us a little more creative leeway.

Honestly all fiction is a FAN fiction of some kind. I mean it's fiction right, and the people who wrote it were fans of something that inspired them to make their own fiction that has elements of stuff they were fans/liked making it a fan fiction of some kind.
You could, in theory, change the names of everything from a certain book/TV show/whatever and make it your own. In Theory. However, if you did that...you would run into the "Ripoff/Obvious Copycat" problem of things and characters being way too similar and thus being a copyright problem or people noticing things between the two works. So If I were to cut and paste stuff out of my Struggles story to try and make it it's own...it would still bear a clear resemblance to MLP and people would notice. My racing story would have no such problem. That's because elements in both stories are different leading to one being clearly fiction based on something else and something else that could be seen as original. It's all about the elements and how you use them (Not the Elements of Harmony) and the biggest one being the setting and universe which is why AU (especially ones furtherest from canon as possible like mine) can be seen as original given enough changes.
