Hoo, boy... · 2:43am Jan 26th, 2016
They say once you learn how to ride a bicycle you never truly forget how to ride, even it's been years since you had.
That premise, sadly, does not apply to the creative arts. As of late I have been sooooo scatterbrained; working 9-10 hours a day, getting up at 4:45 AM Monday through Friday, having a combination of so little free time and then too much of the stuff on weekends with no perceptible pattern... and I'm pretty sure you can see my problem.
Between the PnP I'm running on Friday nights (which I will probably write notes for on Wednesday), getting involved in a new business thing (which takes my Tuesday evenings), and the other things I involve myself with on Saturdays... yeah.
I've gone back to a CheeriMac fic that I had an idea for back in June, working on the prologue for that. Thankfully have a full outline for the story; I just need to write it now.
I might start doing some shorter poetry-like things in the coming weeks, when I have the time and an idea that makes sense and I can get on paper so I start writing again.
I just need to hammer out 1K words a day, honestly. I need to start doing that. Added about 600 words to the prologue, so mission accomplished there, but also reaching my "I'm just a little too tired to properly focus" point far earlier than I would like. I've always been the most active creativity wise during the early afternoon and evenings.
My biggest problem is that I'm reading Somber's fic Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons... just about half way through the story and it just keeps getting better that... well, you know, right? Hopefully, I will have that done before MLP-MSP so I can focus my energies on writing compared to reading an amazingly awesome piece of art.
