god, ive been so busy lately. im not entirely sure why. im going to be busy until school starts. you can expect me to have written something in one of my stories before then, hopefully. im sorry, but ive just been doing too much. between writing fanfiction, writing other things, my music, my schoolwork, my job,my family, life, blah, blah, blah.....i think you get the point. anyways, i know none of you are adamantly awaiting my next installments, but i figured id let you know how bad i am at updating anyways.

well, the important thing about writing a self insert is to keep it realistic in boundaries. you need to express your strengths and overlay your weaknesses. showing the reader character flaws gives them the appearance that your not just overplaying yourself. besides, with a well thought out plot, and nicely done descriptors and characterizations, you should be fine
