Twilight stepped back from her telescope so that Celestia could see. After a few moments, the Solar Goddess, too, stepped back. Leaning forward once again, Twilight gazed at the object in the night sky again, trying to work out exactly what it was. Leaning her head back, and looking towards Luna, she asked the question hanging in the air.
"What is it?"
Luna, solemnly looking puzzled, only shook her head in response. "I do not know, Twilight Sparkle. I do not know."
And so, the object of question just hung in the night sky. Nopony knew what it was, and it was too far away to reach it. Over the course of the next few days following the event, Twilight studied long-distance teleportation, hoping to eventually use it on a galactic scale. Until then, the ring-world orbiting the gas giant could wait.
Hmmm... wonder what that could be...

I've read like, three crossovers in... four-plus years of being in the fandom? And one came very highly recommended. I'm not the person you should be asking.
3643231 Well, you obviously know about Halo, and what I'm going to be trying to do with this one is make it fit the EXACT story line of Halo, meaning that where the ponies would interfere, it wouldn't affect you if you were the one playing the game, but still have a major impact on the story.
