I've got the perfect explanation for that URL.
Let's take a closer look at the tag itself.

What's that between the "artist" and the "modmcdl"? Oh, it's a colon!
My guess is that since they couldn't add colons in an URL, they had to write the word "colon".
This might have come out as slightly rude, depending on your interpretation, but I assure you I mean no offense.
