Hello, I made a thread for this yesterday but I'm desperate! My friend and I have been in this "who could get 50 followers in 1 week" competition and she has 44 and I have 37, I'll follow you back, but please help me. Also, I failed to mention that this ends on Saturday I think.... Also, any help would be appreciated.

I can say so many things about this. I'd like to start off that this makes me cringe, knowing now people are merely asking for followers instead of earning them like the rest of us. Then I can say that this person is lazy and is, for some reason, in a competition for followers. I can understand that to a limit, but this just makes you sound greedy. I mean, you have people like me, The Abyss, and so many others who earn their followers with their hard work! Not asking people to follow them knowing full well all you have to offer in return is a follow back. To me, that just seems unsatisfying. Earning followers show that people like whatever you put out there whether it be writing stories, or making blogs... Which somehow get a lot of attention.
Now, I don't know this person, but I did take the liberty in researching their progress in story writing. Apparently, she only has two stories and both only have OK to bad responses. I took a look at the users blogs and although I'm still confused as to how blogs can bring you followers, I can see why they get people to follow her based off her blog posts. So I could be wrong and she may have earned a good chunk of his or her followers based off the blogs he or she posts.
But that still doesn't mean asking for followers doesn't rub me the wrong way...

I want to be a story-writing machine, but I have to be in a certain mental state to be inspired to write. Turbulence on the home front may be sufficient for me to get something new out pretty soon, though.
