    Long Time....

So it's been a long time since I last posted. I dropped a new story, so I hope you all enjoy it. I also reread some of my older stories, and wonder how I even got to finish them, let alone come up with them. There are still stories that are in progress, so I hope to get something going with them. Right now I'm like GRRM in trying to finish a story. Life does get in the way, sometimes for the

A new week, a new keyboard...

Actually, the keyboard was already bought last week. This is the keyboard that I have wanted, the Razer Black Widow Chroma Overwatch keyboard. It is a beautiful keyboard, and I am just happy to have it right now. Of course, now that I have it, my next target is the Razer Deathadder Overwatch mouse, to pair it up with it.

And I got a new keyboard....

So I gave in. I said I wouldn't buy until two weeks from now, but I gave in and bought the Razer Black Widow Ultimate keyboard. Why did I buy it? I wanted to find out how other mechanical keyboards feel, for one. After using this for a few hours, I noticed that the keys are much easier to press than the ones on the Dragonwar Atomos. That is because the Atomos has keys that need 60g. of actuation

So I still can't get over my new keyboard...

Maybe in a month or so I would, but for now I am loving it, more than a week after I have bought it. Why I haven't discovered mechanical keyboards earlier I'll never know. Maybe it's because they're expensive, and they are. That's one caveat for those who might be thinking they can just go out and buy one. But it would be all worth it, let me assure you. And you will feel the difference

    Christmas is here...

Or really, not yet. But finally uploaded the newest chapter to my fanfic, "Sunset: Vignettes." Chapter IV is probably one of the hardest ones I have written as I have to balance things. On one hand I am trying to see how Christmas could possibly be in Canterlot while on the other hand I try not to be overly religious as possible. The balance somehow doesn't come easy, but Christmas after all

Sunset: Vignettes--Some Explanations/Notes · 8:58pm Dec 10th, 2015

Here are, well more or less, complete notes regarding my new fanfic. or really a series of fanfics, since the stories in Sunset: Vignettes do not make for one big fanfic, but are rather divided into a set of stories that MAY have some connection with one another, though they are connected in some way to my main fanfics, much like my Sonata fanfics are only loosely connected by chapters, though they have some relation to my main fanfics.

Perhaps one of the most noticeable in the first story is having a church there, as well as Jean Paul Valley. For those familiar with him, he was Azrael in DC Comics, as well as for a time took on the role of Batman. This in essence marks the first time I would be writing a crossover fanfic in the EqG/FiM universe. Yes, Jean Paul Valley will have a bigger impact on my coming fanfics, but that is all I will say for now. Ditto as well for having a church there--it is connected to Jean Paul Valley in a way. Yes, of course i am aware that Jean Paul is Catholic, not Orthodox (he is, after all, connected in some way to the Order of St. Dumas as Azrael); that will be explained later on. You could say that I have a particular bias in Orthodoxy since I am Orthodox myself, but then, in time, all of that will be revealed in the coming fanfics.

Now for the fun part--the park I mentioned there is based on an actual park where I live. Maybe later on I would take pics of it to post here, but the description of the park in the story very much mirrors how the park near my place looks like. The only thing I omitted there is the soccer field, which our park here has--well that, as well as a clubhouse, multipurpose hall, 2 basketball courts, 2 tennis courts, and a swimming pool. And a mini eco-park as well (yes, the park is pretty much larger in real life). Maybe I should have added those in my description--Rainbow Dash would surely like to have a soccer field outside of Canterlot High! But aside from those left out, generally I have described the park as it looks like in my place.

Second part is partly based on me--since I do workout (well, more or less...), I figured that there should be something else that Sunset does aside from intellectual pursuits, but then again why she is into it will have much bearing in my main fanfics.

Why do I have such shorts, if I could call it that, for Sunset and Sonata (and possibly for the others as well?) For one, I would like to flesh out the characters more. Doing that in the main story arc could be tedious, especially for readers. Most of my character stories are more slice-of-life than anything else, and might be considered "boring" by some. In that respect then I would rather have them out of the way, so to speak, than put them in the main story arcs, so as to streamline the stories more and not let them be dragged down. Well, as much as a classic "Les Miserables" was, you'll have to agree that it did include whole chapters that weren't necessary (and hence the need for abridged editions of it).

And yes, this is my longest blog post so far--then again, I need to note some things about the recent fanfic anyway...
