I'm just nervous about how they're gonna show Superman in this movie. Don't get me wrong Ben is good but..... don't just make HIM the hero.
3584578 We all know that Batman and Superman are going to team up to make the Justice League. So don't worry about it. DC's planning a Justice League thing, and they wouldn't DARE make the Justice League without Batman AND Superman.

3584624 I just don't see what's so great about Superman. He's pretty much God! Why exactly would anyone be inspired by him and feel hopeful? He can do things we LITERALLY can't! Batman is more inspiring because he's JUST a man! He's just a human who's doing all this! It's a lot more inspiring to see someone accomplishing great feats by training to a point humans CAN reach instead of someone who does great feats because he was BORN with abilities humans CAN'T do.
3584636 Yeah and guess what? He's not better than Superman by this point. Did you know for the longest time until B:TAS SUPERMAN was the selling point of DC? He was the one that people looked forward to writing. Oh and Superman's popular because of one thing. He's the good guy. You can TELL that he's the good guy. He can do things we can't for good reason. He's a GUARDIAN. In one story where he's dying? HE GOES OUT OF HIS WAY TO STOP A KID FROM COMMITTING SUICIDE. He's THE Big Good of DC. In a universe full of beings like him who or either evil or gray he's the ONE focal point that's ALWAYS good next to Shazam. Batman? He's the dark brooding and arrogant superhero that, despite being human, should not be as good as the New 52 comics are showing. You want to know the big deal about Superman? The big deal is that he was the source of what makes the DC Universe the DC Universe. A universe that plays hosts to absolute heroes and absolute villains... and you can bet that Superman will always be on the side of the heroes.

3584687 No Superman did something better. He stopped someone from being selfish and killing themselves and hurt their families. If Superman had walked in there he'd have made Ace feel just as comfortable as Batman did but oh I can't even defend the Man of Steel anymore due to how shitty he's been treated by DC while Batman has begun becoming a Mary Sue.

Batman is a character steeped in death, loss, and darkness, and while this sets him apart from other heroes in some ways, it also this means he understands death, loss and darkness more than the others do, too. His tragedy allows him to empathize with Ace in her darkest moments, not just sympathize with her— something the other heroes of the Justice League, despite all their compassion, just couldn’t do. There have been many Batman stories beyond “Epilogue.” Hell, even in animation alone there’s been several. But this JLU episode was the perfect culmination of so many years of this specific incarnation of Batman, and by giving this Bruce Wayne and his son a happy ending, it explored the real reason why there should always be a Batman. And it closed the book on one of the most definitive takes on the Dark Knight that there has ever been.

Superman more than ANYONE understands tragedy but he doesn't let it define him. Batman is an over glorified human who needs to get knocked down a few pegs. You of all people should know that a tragedy doesn't define who you are and yet Batman has let it. You're no better than Frank fucking Miller during the Dark Knight Strikes Again. Thinking Batman is the best thing since Cookies dipped in Milk. You sadden me with how much you put Batman on a pedestal and not consider what made him special is fucking gone. This is not that Batman. This is the Bat God who thinks that everything's okay as long as he planned it. Oh he can take everyone else down but not his own fucking villains. Yeah and you say Superman's a God? Look again. He's bled. He's actually LOST. HE'S DIED. He is as mortal as anyone else.
3584988 Batman HAS lost before. He DOES acknowledge that he would be CRUSHED like a fucking ANT by ANY of the Justice League members. He recognizes that he's literally one of the physically weakest superhero. And he does WHATEVER it takes to protect people. In Batman/Superman: Apocalypse Batman is willing to destroy a planet to save humanity! Darkseid knows that Superman doesn't have the guts to do that. He knows that Superman wouldn't go that far.
And what exactly do you mean by that? "You of all people should know that a tragedy doesn't define you"
