Alright, are the worrywarts all gone? They are? Good. Now to get into the meat of this blog; The Review!!!
The Introduction
So, here we find ourselves in what seems to be a lecture hall, with Twilight giving a speech to some students studying magic? It seems that Celestia herself asked her former student to come and speak to her current students. Then; Shocker! She's actually talking to herself and Spike, trying to practice for when she truly gives her speech to the students. Turns out she wants to get herself good enough at this that she won't necessarily need the note cards she made. Admirable. But kinda silly. And not a few minutes later, all the students are gathering as Twilight talks about how Cutie Marks are found, using the CMC as a basic example, which I just loved. I enjoy seeing them with their Cutie Marks in the show. Then (After asking Spike to change the slide, waking him from his nap, and resulting in a hilarious summer pic of Spike I'd love to hear the story behind) she goes on to explain how the one event, the Sonic Rainboom, was responsible for her and all of her friend's cutie marks, and how they wouldn't be the same without them.
As she speaks, Twilight looks around the room, only to see none other than Starlight Glimmer! At first, I thought that this would be something like Hasbro throwing her in because they had a shortage of Background Ponies for this, but I knew that was not so, for Twilight seemed to react, her eyes snapping back to where she saw Starlight, only to see that she was no longer there. Kinda creepy, I'll admit. She continued her speech, but seemed to be nervous. Understandable.
The Plot Thickens
After that, Twilight lands back into Ponyville with Spike in tow. Spike mentions Starlight, and they talk about her for a bit (Spike being unhelpful as he just fills Twilight with worry), then head back to the castle. Then; BOOM! STARLIGHT GLIMMER IS IN THE HOUSE... Castle? Whatever. So, Starlight takes out a scroll, and casts a spell, which seems to... Activate the map? I was slightly confused, but I had an inkling of what might happen, because unfortunately I was spoiled about the plot as I searched for the episode. Sadly, I couldn't watch it on TV at the time, so I had to look for it online. Though, I was caught off guard when Starlight summoned a strange globe, which she flew into. Magic, I guess. After it disappeared, Spike went to pickup the crumpled scroll that Starlight threw aside. Twilight tried to warn him. But this didn't work, and they ended up being sucked into the mysterious globe thing. Soon, they found themselves in Cloudsdale, though they quickly found out it was the past as a filly Rainbow Dash flew by. My adorability meter went off the charts. I was surprised I didn't need to go to the hospital...
