    Still On Hiatus

Yeah, what I wrote last time still stands. So stop asking me when I'll be back on, everyone. I'll tell you when I'll be back.

    Hiatus

I’m going on hiatus because I have some personal business to take care of. I’ll make a big announcement when I’m back. Until then, you can message me but don’t expect an immediate response.

Song of the Day: August 31 (Gary Clark Jr.)

Song of the Day: “Ain’t Messin’ Round” by Gary Clark Jr.

Thus we have come to my final Song of the Day! It has been a lot of fun taking you guys through my widely varied and eclectic musical tastes this month. I might continue posting songs once in a while, but it won’t be daily. Have a good one!

Lauren Faust · 8:00pm Nov 29th, 2015

I get a sense that Lauren Faust is the Greg Weisman of the 21st century, in that they both have great ideas for animated shows but keep getting screwed by the networks.

So in other words, both of them are the Joss Whedons of animation.

Besides Lauren I have absolutely no idea about the other names. I'm kinda illiterate when it comes to stuff which is not game-related :rainbowlaugh:
Still, I agree about great ides being screwed over by publishers.

3578991 Joss Whedon: Sci-fi and superhero director and producer, best known for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Serenity, The Cabin in the Woods and The Avengers.

Greg Weisman: Writer and producer behind Young Justice, The Spectacular Spider-Man, Star Wars Rebels and, of course, Gargoyles.

And yeah, it seems to often be that way. Isn't there a term for this?

3579053 Alright, Buffy is familiar, watched it a lot on the TV when I was but a wee cute little thing.

It seems like the only way to get corporations off your back is to be your own producer. Bleh.

3579316 It's surprising to me that you didn't mention that you've seen The Avengers. I thought that for sure would ring a bell. :rainbowwild:

Sad but true. Though, that can be even harder.

3579406 honestly? I haven't seen them. All I saw from that universe was Captain America1&2 and Ant Man.

3579439 Really? Huh. Well anyway, I'm sure you've heard of Gargoyles (made by Greg Weisman), as it's the basis of my crossover fic Of Night and Stone.

-Kirb.

3579500 yep, heard of those. Didn't see any, but it's on my eventual to do list :pinkiehappy:

Another person to relate is Don Bluth. Ever since "The Land Before Time," he had gone through some heavy executive meddling, resulting in many of his movies gradually becoming bad until Anastasia kicked back a few minutes of fame.
