I'm going to pass Rarity's Tale through the wringer one more time. I'm starting from scratch yet again and crafting a brand new beginning. If this fails, I'm just tossing the whole damn series.
And no, I didn't fail an EQD submission. Just my own obnoxious standards and insecurity issues.
how about we storyboard it before you start writing again?

I could try, but I'm usually the kind of person to prefer seeing my story evolve. My writing style is coming up with scattered scenes in my head and select themes and incorporating them as I go along. An outline doesn't give me the kind of vision I need.

Planning out a story doesn't mean you can't change things around as they come, it just gives you a guideline so that your story doesn't become a tangled mess.

How about I write a few opening scenes to establish the hook and then brainstorm around that?
I'm going back to basics. All this time I've been working hard on building up this conflict of Rarity's division of time and labor and completely neglecting that it should be about Rarity wanting something.
