Everyone or Everypony?
Something I always wondered when it came to writing. When you strive to both be 'authentic' and 'professional', it's kind of hard to choose between the two. Someone in the MLP universe in your story saying "everyone" just doesn't feel right since it's not what they say in the show. But does that mean you also have to be consistent with it around the story to not get people confused?
It's a small thing I had on my mind, as it probably makes my stories look less 'professional' but is also correct in terms of the source material.
It doesn't matter that much. Personally I feel if a pony is speaking and they don't have some reason to use everyone, then use everypony. For example, if the pony speaking is in a room full of ponies. But really the word "People" can be any race. Case in point: "My PEOPLE need me"
3572696 I tend to stick with the pony variants of words and keep it consistent throughout my stories as best I can. I just wondered if the actual non-pony version of the word should be used in something that seems to lack it in it's source material. But I agree.
