annoyed/Butt hurt about clop fics... · 3:02am Nov 24th, 2015
Now, I'm not going to ask redundant questions like why, because it's pretty self evident, but still, a clop fic gets so many views and likes and I'm over here slaving away on a sad dramatic tragedy centering around three very well thought out OCs and it's got like a total of like seven likes and no notoriety. I'm not expecting all my stories to be hits, just feeling embittered is all. I don't have anything against clop and in principal it's not inherently easier or more lazy writing and that it can take a lot of thought and creativity to make a clop fic, so I'm not admonishing anyone... Okay, rant over, I'm done bitching now -_-
I suppose there's just a larger audience for it, unfortunately.

That's a slippery slope, dude. last time I did something like this it was 3 blogs later than I realized I was being annoying. This is the internet, we're all horny bastards on here. That being said, a lot of people will judge a story rather harshly on just the description. A good description needs to be a good mix of telling what the story's about without giving away too much and making it all sound INCREDIBLY interesting. A great story will be ignored if the description isn't up to snuff. Even more so if it's a type of story you aren't known for. Hence why anything I write that isn't Twidash gets a fraction of the views, which is what sent me ranting like this. Just accept it, there's no other way, however unfair it may be sometimes.
