Continuing the excellent streak of the latter half of Season 5, this episode left a strong impression on me. I was quite surprised since the leaked sotryboard has been out for a while and while most of us were expecting a bombastic musical episode it was quite intimist and restrained. Even the final musical number, while gorgeous and moving was downright sober but not less effective for it. The outline of the musicians (Hello Octavia!) and Rara's Cutie Mark were the only exceptions to the rule. As usual, it follows the theme of a pony returning from the past of one of the Mane Six, this time raising the issue that while two ponies may have been friends when they were young, the adult returning may be different and has to be respected for it. Sure, the villain was short of a mustache to twirl to make the moral even stronger but that's why we love the show, am I right? Applebloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie are awesome and the Earth is round. Also, it warmed my hearth watching DIamond Tiara and Silver Spoon together again! It was like the axis of the world tilting in its right place. See ya for the season finale!
