New to the Site

Hello! I'm Keldeo de Sol. I've joined in hopes to begin sharing a fanfiction I have been writing (I know, shocker. Right?). I figured before I get to posting any of my story, I thought to introduce myself and my ambitions for this story.

I go by the name of Keldeo de Sol, but that is also the name of the main character in my story. If you know Pokemon, you'll know right away the Pokemon name. For those who don't know, it is this cute little guy here.

A colt Pokemon, water/fighting type. However, I didn't want to just throw in the Pokemon in the pony universe and call it a day. Instead, I had designed him to fit more in the pony's world more appropriately, including his own unique cutie mark. This is more how he looks.

Hopefully, this will help separate him from just being the Pokemon in the pony universe. I plan to develop his character so he's really something else.

I do not plan my fanfiction to be a short little thing, either. I'm looking more to make an epic out of his journey. Give him strengths, weaknesses. Triumphs, failures. A goal he dedicates himself to, a cause he wishes to fulfill. He won't be like "I'm gonna save the world!", beat up some bad guy, then lives happily ever after. No, I want there to be struggle. And I want the readers to share his pain, joys, and partake in his growth as he changes through the course of the story. I want readers to really be invested. I'm already 3,000 words deep and this is just the prologue.

I also want to bring to life a little bit Princess Celestia as well. I don't see a lot of her in the show and she has very minimal character development. I like what they hint at with her in the comic series, but I want to take it further. For the record, Keldeo is going to be Celestia's son.

Adopted son. The red headed adopted child. I already know of the comedic value of how silly that sounds. How it came to be will be explained during the progress of my story.

There will also be some mild shipping as well with... Twilight Sparkle.

DUN DUN DUN!

Although, I don't see her becoming a major character right off the bat. Sure, she'll be there. And frankly, she will be a motivational driving force for Keldeo. But let's just say he doesn't appear in the show for a reason (aside from him being an OC and not a canon character, but you get what I mean). Maybe she'll play a bigger role later in the story once I get to it, but I'll need to get there myself before I decide what to do with her.

For now, things are ultimately in its infancy with this tale. I know where I want to begin and I know how I want to set up this journey. I know some points I'd like to visit along the way and I got a broad idea of how this ends (he beats the bad guy and we all live happily ever after- fin), but I still need to go on this journey and write it myself.

Most of Keldeo's story will have little bearing to what happens to the show up to this point. Eventually, it will break into its own thing and will come back to the Mane 6, but it'll still be Keldeo's story and his tale. I dunno, kinda wagging my tongue now, I don't know exactly how it'll play out yet.

This all aside, I'm hoping by posting my tale for you to read, it'll gain a following and for me to have motivation to keep on writing it. As I mentioned, it is going to be no short tale. Hundreds of pages, countless paragraphs, ect ect. When I finish the prologue, you'll get an idea of what I mean.
