Trying something new.

So if anyone were to look over my stories you might quickly notice that while I'm great with short stories and oneshots, I am horrid when it comes to long stories, (past two chapters it feels like). I have problem finding the ability to stay committed to writing and often jst put them off entirely. I have a GDoc page full of such stories.

So I am goinnig to try something new, something different. Instead of writing my ideas, I'm just goinnig to share them publicly and offer someone to take it for either co-authoring, authoring while I edit or complete aquasition if I find your own works to be impressive.

To start it off, here's an idea I had for a ApplejackxRainbow Dash Romance because we sure don''t have enough of those, don''t we? Note: i am writing this with th emindset that it will be done with anthro characters, adjust as you wish.

I had this idea after reading a psycological examination of Rainbow Dash someone wrote and how they mentioned that Applejack helped to ground and stablize her life while at the same time giving her a rival to push her forward. That coupled with a mental image of Rainbow Dash with Applejack's rope tied behind her as she flies takinng Applejack along for a ride on skis starting the creative wheels turning.

The story I imagined is one that allows the characters to be as much of themselves as possible while at the same time allowing the relaiontship to grow naturally. Clop would be kept to a minimum and only used for story purpuses. It should show both the good and the bad of this blooming relationship. Because no matter how good it feels to be with someone who knows you almost as well if not better than you know yourself, going from friends and rivals to lovers and partners is not an easy transition.

The first two chapters will be devoted to one of the two completely and showcase a day in their life. I picture it beinng mid Spring so Applejack won't be doinnig much buckinng, instead we get to see her simply tending to the trees and her time around the farm while Rainbow Dash's chapter would be about her being tasked by the Weather Team to retrieve some light rain clouds for an unschesualed shower. Both of these chapters are ment to showcase their lives without each other. Applejack's beinng slow and steady while Rainbow Dash will be fast paced with short stops between. The following chapter brings the pair together, showing how they both change each other. Applejack slowing Rainbow Dash down and givinng her stability while Rianbow Dash lifts Applejack up and gives speed and energy to her.

I imagine one scene set in summer. Applejack comes across Rainbow Dash in one of her trees near the waterinng hole, restinng from the heat. The two share a bit of light banter as Applejack rests when Rainbow Dash mentions she wishes she had her bathinng suit so she could go for a swim. Just being around Rainbow Dash gives Applejack perhaps a new energy, a lift in her step that opens her up more and she actually take a bold and sudden action. Stripping down and heading for the water. Rainbow Dash, somewhat self concious about her image, is reluctatnt to do the same, but Applejack's cool confidence gives her confidence as well as she acts as a support for Rainbow Dash to rely on as she trys new thinings.

Both girls should be free and unembarrrised about showing themselves to each other nude. Later in the story, this should be revisited when the girls start to grow closer and the reactions changed accordingly.

The pivital moment that would trigger the blooming relationship will occur a chapter or two later. A mishap at the Weather HQ leads to two storm fronts beinng far too close to each other and Ponyville smack in the middle. The storms start swirling together and the pegasi are called up to help gather the town to shelter. A tornado was coming.

Applejack and the rest of the Mane 6 help and it isn't long before the townspeople are safe, but before Rainbow Dash can reach shelter, she starts getting pulled in by the winds. Applejack then comes to her rescue, looping na rope around the pegasis before puling her to ground and tieing the two of them off someplace safe. As the storm passes over them, Applejack holds Rainbow tightly, whsiperinng "I got you. You're safe." over and over. When the eye of the storm is over them and the winds are calm, Rainbow Dash then carries the both of them quickly to shelter just befor ethe winds pick up again.

The experience leaves Rainbow Dash both wounded and tramatized, nightmares haunting her about the feeling of having her control in the air ripped away from her. During one of these bouts, Applejack visits and helps to bring her out of it. After some gentle and paitent coaxing from Applejack, RD finally explains what is going on. Cue Luna who was having such difficulty helping Rainbow Dash within her nightmare that she sought out the reason why it was suddenly aliviated. Understanding the comfort that Applejack brought, Luna provides a spell/tool that will allow them to share dreams until Rainbow Dash is no longer burdened by the nightmares.

From then on the story would follow their growinng relationship and show it affects themselves, others and how they see the world. Would also be interesting to have a subplut between Big Mac and Fluttershy that would involve a few "You didn't see me, I didn't see you" moments.

That's my idea for the story, any takers?
