This was an academy record when it came to references! I mean... dude... this episode was like the master blaster king of references and we couldn't have a episode with more references. And I love them of course :3 Also Twilight being called by the Map?! Holy shit, Batman! Now this is something that surprises everypony. And then there's TwiShy too for the first time after fours seasons without seeing Flutters and Twi together in a actual episode! Go after the break to see some Hooffields and McColts shenanigans!
Twilight just planned every fucking thing she needed to know in five minutes after Fluttershy and her were called by the map... I feel useless now ;-; But let's not care about that and see how this is cute (or maybe a animation error? Dunno):
Ignoring the fact Twilight has norma-pegasus wings here, I have no idea if the magic in Fluttershy's hair is proposital, because Twi may be protecting her from the pumpkins, or if this is another error. I just know it's cute to see how she cares about her friend ♥ Also Flutters 'woah' was so cute my heart exploded, but of course nothing beats the famous 'yay!'. Never forget. 
Of course they go and check what the heck is going on there aaand we discover that: 1. Big eyebrow ponies are a thing in this season, and I, for some reason, find it lovely (putting differences in each pony, main or background, is important) and 2. Tree Hugger must be somehow related to Hooffields... okay no, but they just look alike! Anyways, Ma Hooffield... I think you have to brush your teeth...
Putting out the fact Ma needs to see a dentist and is stubborn as fuck, she's a great ol' mare and so the girls decide to check the McColts side of the story and they're received by these two:
Okay so this is the first mare we see with that jawline, as rugged as Big Mac’s! And I absolutely love the difference, again. But I think Twilight probably was waiting to see one big stallion coming out of their fort... But what they find is a dwarf:

After trying to make them stop fighthing (again, after tomatos), Twi thought it would work, but it didn't. And thus a hay war began and Fluttershy became hay. First Braeburn and now her? Who's next? She looks so cute in here :3 But what would make everything work out? Yep, cake. But guess what?

But in the end everything goes right once Fluttershy shows why they should stop fighthing: Animals :3 Cute fluff animals. Isn't that a good thing to stop a war? But wait, first Twilight had to have a rage to make them stop:

So everything is alright and both families are friends now! Liek Fluttershy said: Yay! (and all they needed was each other, by what Twi said... Oh God, I ship it. I'm trash.) This was a rather awesome episode with new and different characters, I give it a 8/10. Our heroes here done what they had to do and Twilight questioned: "What will happen now that everypony has already been called by the map?". Well, I can say it: Shit. Shit will happen, not next episode, but in a period of two weeks shit is going down for real and I'm so excited! (but sad because then... HIATUS) Anyways next episode is a AJ one! Yay! Also many people know it will have one of the best, if not the best, song in MLP so I'm really looking foward to see the whole thing! Till there have this:

I didn't mind the episode.... except for when the animals show up and become the deus ex machina.

Was it just me or does it seem there are a lot of 'tall' ponies in these families? This should have been a mission for Rarity and Applejack. Though Twilight and Fluttershy wasn't the worst choice in my books.

First thing I remember was the whole Manehatten thing with Coco, then we focused on Applejacks family several times, and now we have an upcoming episode centered around Applejack again.
