    Side Story

I don't think that the site sends out notifications for the publishing of a sequel of a story that people have tracked, but I do know that people get notified when I make a blog with the original story tagged. I don't want people to be unaware of the new content related to DUTR, so that is why I am saying something here.

An in-depth look at my stories

I have come to realize that, when I look at another user's page, I am wary about which stories I chose to read, even if I know I enjoy a particular user's work, because of a couple of reasons. The first is that I don't wish to examine everything in detail, only to be disappointed if I decide that a particular story isn't for me after all. The second reason is that I feel that the traditional

    Back Again

Here I am, apologizing for the exact same thing yet again. I've been gone for weeks and weeks. And I'm starting to notice that I always disappear after I leave on a vacation. But, I am back now, and, since it is currently in the middle of the school year, my family almost certainly won't be dragging me away on any vacations until May. So perhaps I won't be going anywhere for at least as

    What I've been up to

I have been gone for several weeks without proper explanation. I have been traveling all over every corner of the United States in that time, visiting family and friends. The time spent on the road was spent without internet, and the time spent at my destinations was too busy to log on here. So, the bad news is that I haven't been able to work on Discord Underground Talk Radio at all since I

An in-depth look at my stories · 6:12am Nov 7th, 2015

I have come to realize that, when I look at another user's page, I am wary about which stories I chose to read, even if I know I enjoy a particular user's work, because of a couple of reasons. The first is that I don't wish to examine everything in detail, only to be disappointed if I decide that a particular story isn't for me after all. The second reason is that I feel that the traditional descriptions on these stories doesn't tell you what to expect so much as attempt to draw readers in.
So, in order to provide a convenient way around this problem for people who come to my user page, this blog will list my stories, tell you what to actually expect out of them, and hopefully tell you quickly whether or not you might be interested in the story. The list is in alphabetical order, including stories which have the word 'the' as the first word in the title (the first letter is considered to be a 't').
Story info below the page break.

A Shadow of the Past Revealed

This is a story about an oc character I created who once dabbled in necromancy, but is now trying to peacefully reintegrate with ponykind. Circumstances make this a difficult task. In the second half of the story, a rescue mission is in order. It is tagged as dark, but this refers only to the dark nature of the necromancy that the main character requires to survive, and the tense circumstances surrounding the CMC's disappearance. The story has a pleasant, although slightly strange ending.

A Tale of Four Heroes Who Almost Saved the World

This is a short, stupid, satirical story that expands upon a dumb idea that Discord mentions in Discord Underground Talk Radio, the prequel fic. It's about four ponies who fight against evil undead, but after seeing the things that happen to them, you might begin to suspect that the universe doesn't really take them seriously. And you'd probably be right, considering how the entire story is actually being told by Discord to the Cutie Mark Crusaders, who don't believe a word he says. If you don't mind a little dark humor, I promise you this will make you laugh several times.

Back from the Future

This is loosely based on the movie "Back to the Future", but actual story is completely my original design. People who have watched the movie will see obvious connections between it and my story, but I have had people tell me that they disliked "Back to the Future" and yet enjoyed this story. It is quite short, and all of the action is fairly quick and to the point.

Chaos Rules in the Wasteland

A crossover story with Fallout 1, the original Fallout made in the 90s. If you've never played a fallout game, I wouldn't bother reading this. However, if you have played a fallout game, any of them at all, then you might consider taking a look at this, if you enjoy this sort of thing. It's rated mature for the same reasons that the games are: harsh language, drug use, violence, minor gore (I don't go very in-depths about the gorey details). The first half of the story follows the storyline of the actual Fallout 1 game fairly closely, with some extra spice thrown in to keep things interesting. The second half of the story more or less breaks away from the script of the game and events occur and are resolved in a manner of my own design. The story isn't complete yet, but there are quite many chapters to read.

Discord Underground Talk Radio

The moment radios in Equestria are invented, Discord starts up his own radio show and begins trolling everyone who listens. Mostly this story is just Discord spouting off nonsense and questionable facts, but if you pay attention, you might find snippets of actual wisdom. It's not quite finished yet, but if you enjoy Discordisms and random comedy, I can almost promise you that you won't care; It's worth the read anyway.

Ponyville the Town of Youth

Discord puts all of the school aged fillies and colts in Ponyville, along with young versions of each of the mane six, into an exact copy Ponyville that has no adults. They are supposed to last for thirty whole days, but a town full of unsupervised children will surely fall apart in less than thirty days, right?
This tells tales of the sorts of silliness a bunch of colts and fillies get up to when they are allowed to do whatever they want, but it also tells the unusual tale of the mane six befriending the other colts and fillies as peers, and even with one another all over again.

Rainbow Dash's Simple Solution

A silly and very short story about Rainbow Dash trying to use the gimmick from one episode in order to solve a problem from a different episode. It doesn't actually work out. I was told that, in the end, the whole concept doesn't actually work out because of one little thing that Fluttershy did, but the concept is still amusing to consider anyway.

The Teamwork Exercise

Before I say anything else, I need to say this. The cover art is not a noose. It's not a dark fic at all. It didn't even occur to me that the cover art could look like a noose until someone told me that it did. The reason for the cover art will become clear if you actually read the story. This is told from the first person perspective of Diamond Tiara. The entire story takes place outside the schoolhouse throughout a single school day. It shows the inner workings of Diamond Tiara's mind, showing her abrasive personality while at the same time showing her redeeming qualities and showing that she can be reasonable, in her own way. Nopony is cast in a negative light. Also, apparently some people thought that the way that the fillies behave throughout the story was 'cute'. Huh. I'm personally rather proud of this little thing.

To a Time Long Gone

This is a sequel to my "Back from the Future" story. Unlike its prequel, it has almost nothing to do with the Back to the Future movies at all, save for a couple of aspects that are carried over from the prequel by necessity. Rainbow Dash, Twilight, and Discord find themselves stuck in ancient Equestria, and I have the audacity to try to tell readers what the world was like so long ago. Starswirl the Bearded also winds up joining the fray. The party winds up becoming split up, events occurring in multiple locations are seen at once. Everyone generally has some rather crazy adventures while trying to figure out a way to return to their original time. This story isn't terribly far along just yet, but it is far enough for everyone to have something important happening to them.
