I've started a Patreon account · 10:47pm Oct 25th, 2015
So, in a bid to provide myself with motivation, I have started up a creator account on Patreon to further my writing on Fimfiction. The way I see it, if I have a means of using my writing to allow for some extra spending money for me and my daughter, then I'll have more motivation to buckle myself down and put out chapters at a decent pace, rather than taking months at a time to just get one out, then randomly getting a surge of inspiration and putting out 3 or so within weeks of each other.
You all, my readers, deserve better than that. You deserve a consistency that I'm definitely able to provide without sacrificing quality. No matter what, no matter the support or lack thereof that I get, I plan to push myself harder from now on to put out a new chapter ideally every week, but no later than two weeks apart. I even plan to start writing my own totally original story if I can manage to reach a milestone, which is my first major step to becoming a published author. It's my dream to write and distribute that book series I have in my head, which revolves around a certain unique element of most of my stories that many of you should be familiar with, the Cast gauntlets.
I'm doing this because I know I can do better, and I just need to motivate myself in any way I can. Even if I never get a single dollar of patronage, just having it there as a potential way to support my dreams is going to be a huge motivator so that I can actually put out more chapters and one day finish the stories that are always crawling around in my head, waiting to get put down and be written.
