Every rewrite feels better · 6:22am Oct 23rd, 2015
You know, in the past year since I tried my hand at writing, I've decided to stay it from publishing any of the works. I haven't written much, only about 10,000 words or so, but the few ideas I have written down have become clearer. Might get back to a story on a remarkably stupid pun, see what sort of humor I can come up with now after giving it a 2 year break. All in all, I feel like I'm starting to get a sense of style that I prefer, though I still plan on copying other styles to flesh out my own.
I'm not planning anything by the end of the year (unless I become possessed and actually get more than a thousand words written in a single session), but the ideas are clearing up. Corners I might have written myself into are becoming more apparent, and I feel that this is a part of the process in writing.
To be honest these ideas don't feel wholly original, but I think I can spin some old stories with my take that won't completely suck.
Anyway, I'm off to bed. Got a workbench built this week, and am looking forward to some mechanical finger extension prototypes built tomorrow now that I have a decent space to work on them. With that said, they may look like this:
So, until we meet again, stay gold.
