Hey, everyone! Welcome to the third weekly installment of Mellow Mondays! I hope you’re all having an awesome day! If you guys enjoy 8-bit-electro, then give this mix a try while we get into this week’s topics!
You Thought You Knew Canterlot High: Update
So, as you probably know by now, my co-author, Ringmaster1336 and I have recently had some trouble making any ground on our feature story, You Thought You Knew Canterlot High, but I have good news! We sat and brainstormed some more and we found some inspiration for this next chapter, and though it’s somewhat of an interlude and won’t contain any plot progression, I have faith that fans of the story are going to enjoy it just the same. That being said, be prepared for some new characters that haven’t really been mentioned so far in the story! If you guys really like it, we might even give these characters their own story arc(s). Alright, I’m gonna stop talking about it now before I give away too many spoilers.
As always, guys, feedback is always welcome on the story, so if you see a misspelled word, improper grammar, or something you like or dislike about the story, please let us know in the comments, and feel free to send Ringmaster and I any ideas that you wanna see written into the story via PM. We’re always open to suggestions, criticism, and the like, so don’t be shy! Alright, I think I’ve talked about this story enough, I’m sure you get the idea; let’s move onto the next topic!
Gogol Bordello
Most of you’ve probably never heard of Gogol Bordello, and it’s more than likely that some of you can’t correctly pronounce it, and that’s fine. ^_^ Anyways, Gogol Bordello is one of my favorite bands, and I get to see them live in concert for the very first time in November! They’re a variation of traditional Gypsy bands mixed together with punk and dub vibes. They have a really unique sound, and though half of their songs contain a language, I think Romanian, which I don’t understand, they still sound pretty freaking awesome. If you’re looking for a unique sounding band that half of the time contains drunken retards with amazing musical talent throwing themselves around onstage, then check to see if they’re touring in your area soon and buy some tickets! Or, if you can’t afford tickets, listen to some of their stuff on YouTube, you won’t regret it! Alright, next topic!
Codecademy
So, I’ve been really interested in learning HTML and CSS coding recently, and a friend of mine turned me on to this free website that teaches coding called Codecademy.com and it’s awesome! I’ve learned so much in just a few weeks and I don’t have to pay a cent for it! It’s a fun way to learn coding and I recommend it to anyone who’s even remotely interested. I mean, what can you lose? It’s free!
Anime Halp
So, I’ve kinda just finished watching all the anime I’ve had piled up on my ‘need to watch’ list, but I’m still craving more! If you guys have any suggestions for anime I should watch, then leave it in the comments below; I’d really appreciate it! Just for reference, some of my favorite anime include Sword Art Online, Attack On Titan, Infinite Stratos, The Devil Is A Part-Timer, and Fairy Tail. I also like pretty much any comedy, slice of life anime as well!
