Hello! I am happy to say that I have (finally after the entire summer) finished chapter 3 of Minor Turbulence. Looks like I'm going to have to pick up the pace and stop mucking about with my writing.

I think you might want to find some sort of motivation method that works for you. Mine is a crapload of caffeine followed by a brutal workout. Afterwards I'm still mentally alert, but I feel really good and relaxed. Always works for me.
Other than that, a general method is to just write something, even if you don't feel like it or have an idea. Just write junk if you have to. Eventually you'll get going, and come up with something cool. Then you can delete the random junk.

Thanks for the advice. I'm not much of a caffeine drinker and people who know me strongly believe that I shouldn't start with the coffee As for writing junk I have a few conceptual ideas that I've been tossing around but never thought to expand on them. Perhaps if I give them a go I'd feel a bit more inspired to finish up the stuff that matters.

I encourage you to try. I myself have just finished doing the said "writing of junk" and it actually got a lot of good feedback from people. I've been told it has potential so, after a few patches, I'm going to throw it up online in a few days. I would have never anticipated that spitting out some crap would actually get my mind going enough to come up with good ideas as I went. I just will have to redo the beginning scene to... not be stupid junk.
But seriously. Just try sitting yourself down and not stressing over making the next Fallout Equestria or something. Writing should be for fun so just relax and don't try to make something spectacular right off the bat.
