Things That Drive Me Nuts · 9:37am Sep 12th, 2015
1. Using would of instead of would have, and similar misuses of the word of.
2. AppleDash.
3. Weird/confusing sentence structures.
4. Blantantly obvious spelling errors.
5. There, their, and they're are not the same thing. The first is a preposition, the second is a posseive plural pronoun, and the third is a contraction of they are.
6. Names are capitalised for a reason. Don't forget to do it.
If I see enough of these grammar mistakes within a short enough passage, I will laugh at the authour's expense and drop the story for good.
Unless it's a trollfic, in which case I will gladly read because I find them hilarious.
As for why AppleDadh made the list… the first shipping I ever found was FlutterDash (from the Murdershy tumblr, no less.) The second I found was AppleDash. Now, AppleDash is obviously at odds with FlutterDash, which I fell in love with instantly, and as such it will always hold a special place in my heart.
I guess you could say the same for AppleDash, but for the opposite reason – I despise it. If you want to get me to read an AppleDash fic, you need to make it very compelling indeed, with very few grammatical errors and a really good story line. Otherwise, it only gets a passing glance.
Actually, come to think of it, I can't think of a single shipping that I like involving a pegasus and an Earth pony.
Alright, I'm off on a tangent, so I'll shut up now. See ya!

Edit:
I forgot to add a seventh thing: second person stories. If you are guilty of this, I'd like to inform you that every second person story written kills some animal under Fluttershy's care. If she runs out of animals, she'll be next. SO PLEASE, DON'T WRITE SECOND PERSON STORIES
Okay, done ranting.
Ther the air theyre.
I'm sorry, I saw that one and had to do it.
3387154 you have no idea how funny that is
3391036 The joke goes, 'How do you console a writer? There They're Their' as a play on there there 'but why did the writer need consoling? Ther Theyre The air'
