Turns out my normal writing self hit a snag.
Well, here's the dealio. I've told you guys that I'm not that confident in my own writing because it doesn't feel right. That's why M235 was redone because it just didn't feel right. Now reading it over, it still doesn't feel right.
But w/e.
I finally found the problem as to why my stories don't really feel "right" to me. The reason?
WARNING: you may or may not disagree with me.
Consistency. For some reason, I fade in and out of certain modes/styles of writing. Sometimes I go straight into purple prose (or too dramatic) while other times I'm not dramatic enough, or the scene is really bland when it should be more descriptive. I've read my works over the weekend and that pattern just kept showing up more and more.
It's actually ridiculous when I saw it.
Sooooo, how will I fix this?
Simple, by not doing a damn thing and moving on to doing the rest. I'll "fix" it later.
Unless you guys want me to re-write the whole damn story again.
M235, for starters, would start when this fucker lands in Equestria, because giving you base information through Sweetie Belle wasn't consistent. There needs to be more of a relationship and bond of friendship instead of being told "oh, they're friends". My silly self didn't realize the inconsistency between Levi and Sweetie Belle. There also needs to be a settled POV of both of our protagonists, since the execution from only Sweetie Belle's perspective was sloppy. Just, ugh!
So, from here on out, I'll make sure I'm more consistent with what I write. That's a pledge, not a promise. Why?
Because promises hold no value to me.

I'm not sure when that'll be, considering my college courses love to assign me more reading than I can handle.
I'd rather not see this story go through another rewrite. Unless you have a really good idea for a rewrite, I think you should continue on with what you have.
I'm invested in this story and curious to see how it plays out, mainly because I want to know what's causing Levi's illness.

That's what I was wanting to do. I still do, in fact. All I know is that the next chapter is going to make me want to pull my hair out. We'll see how it pans out.
