Not April Fools, no really seriously.

    Hey folks!

    This is not a joke.

Between the show's hiatus and getting Fallout 4 for Christmas, I have neglected my writing to a near-criminal level over the past few months. For that, I am tremendously sorry to all my readers.

    Still alive

    No, not a Portal post...

I just wanted to let you folks know, I'm still kicking. I find less and less time to write these days, and have a hard time getting the creative juices flowing when I do get a chance.

What Stormy would post if the Internet still existed

For those who are unaware of what the Australian V8 Supercar race series is, it's what NASCAR could have been had they not been blinded by good-ol'-boys and only turning left.

Hello, old enemy, we meet again

I know I promised a chapter of After the Storm this weekend. I'm getting a mild block right now in that storyline. Can I use the excuse that I was writing with Starscribe all week for this week's chapter of The Eternal Lonely Day? Don't mean to throw you under the bus, Star. But hey, with the engine running, it's warm down here. Just don't breathe in the exhaust.

Well, The Coming Storm is getting close to its climax. Fear not, I have enjoyed writing it as much as you've enjoyed reading it. (Even if it seems like there is a bot out there that gives a thumbs-down vote literally seconds after I post a chapter.) Anyway, what I'm trying to say is I am not only working on The Longest Highway, about another pony's search for answers in the post-Event world, but I'm preparing to start developing After The Storm, a sequel to TCS. Not sure where I might take it - got to think about that for a bit, but if you'll read it, I'll write it.

As I write this, the next chapter of TCS is going to be slightly delayed, as I'm working on a semi-crossover deal between my story and someone else's, which occurs (the crossover, that is) "between chapters" of TCS. Just want to make sure I have the continuity firmly set down before I start writing again.

Wait a moment, are you seriously getting a new downvote whenever you post a chapter? That is pretty messed up. I'll be stoked for that sequel when it comes out as I am really enjoying your group of ponies shenanigans.

3334804 Not every chapter, but I definitely saw a downvote within seconds of putting the latest chapter of TCS up. I'm not particularly put off by it - I've been around long enough to know that some people don't like things, and some people just say they don't like things just to mess with people - but it seems strange that it would happen so quickly after posting.

3334829 Pretty sure it's because your story gets bumped onto the 'updated stories' list on the main page. Almost everything appearing on the main page gets a downvote immediately. Because reasons. My 'Northland' started out with two downvotes two minutes after uploading. That's why I like this new thing with hiding the vote count until you have ten votes. Not perfect, but it gets more difficult to sink a newbie story.
Oh and of course somebody who hates 'The Conversion Bureau' might see your story updated and downvote it on principle without checking if the person-to-pony story actually is a TCB. There seems to be a whole cult out there...

Aaaaaanyway.

but if you'll read it, I'll write it

I'll read the hell out of it. The band of ponies you've created is currently my favourite cast. Could read about them forever ;)

Like I said, there are people who will downvote anything anywhere, just to be a shit-disturber, I think. I see missing children posts on subreddits for my local area get downvoted. Posts showing off custom plushies of really good quality get the thumbs down. Post a video on my Youtube page of the fire department I volunteer with, bringing an air ambulance in to help a patient in a car crash? Downvote. I don't get it, but I don't lose much sleep over it. I only mentioned it because it makes me curious what the dissenters don't like.
