Well. my OC's name is Darkrim. He hails from Tartarus and is a prince down there with Hades (the and Persephone (The queen of ice and song) as his parents. his powers are mostly normal unicorn magic mixed in with shadow magic (such as dream control, easier evasion and similar). Though he does have a impressive amount of power, most of it is still in the rough (since he only got into magic a few years back). He is a kind hearted soul, but his reflex of flight or fight usually ends with flight and if he is cornered his magic becomes a bit wonky which is why he is training with both Luna and Twilight at the moment. He is shipped with another OC of mine, Beatrice Palghieri, a light pegasus (meaning she is in the service of sunny weather) and she was the reason for his banishment (since Tartarus ponies and light pegasi have been at each others throats for a while), but he never stopped loving her. Even in banishment he searched for her (with the help of the Mane Six of course) until they were reunited.

My OC's name is, as one might guess, Scout Charger, Scout for short.

He's a rather normal earth pony and has no special powers, he is not to shabby in hoof to hoof combat and quite the good pathfinder/mapmaker. One might think he is a little boring, but he doesn't give too much of a damn about others opinions.

And since he lives in Ponyville, and Ponyville has barely more than a small river, he has no ship. I mean, what kind of ship would you suggest for that small fo a river?

Well, I shall tell you about one of them. I have a few characters in my head. His name is Cadet Slipstream.

He is a Pegasus, and decent at weather manipulation,

Not as great as Rainbow Dash, but good enough to get things done. He stays in the coastal regions of Equestria. He is a retired Guard, having done about ten years.

He is settling back into civilian life, and is currently working to get a teacher's license. He also is a self proclaimed writer, and is working to get his first book published.

3319425 True, but the reason she is the goddess of springtime is tied to Demetra. You see, once she was kidnapped by Hades to serve as his Queen some negotiation happened and the end results of those was that she has to spend a third of a year in the Underworld. The old Greeks believed that to be the winter (since it was the least fruitful part of the year they believed that Demetra was mourning at that time). Once she returned to Earth, Demetra would celebrate her return and this would become spring and summer. Once the summer ended Demetra would become much more sorrowful and thus nature itself would prepare itself to die down for the oncoming winter. Again, this is just one of many interpretations of Persephone, but I thought it might be interesting to point out

My OC Pyreite/Peryite Has various forms of advanced magic from his studies as Celestia's first apprentice. He also acquired elite dark magic from his unconventional experiment as well as an almost natural inborn ability to control fire.

He does have a love life. The Princess of his old homeland.

Backstory: He was abandoned in the Everfree as a young colt by his parents and has been living there ever since, although he is kind and outgoing, he has trouble trusting other ponies because everypony he has ever trusted has betrayed him. He had discovered his ability to shadow travel when he had been running from a hungry manticore and thought about getting back to the area of the Everfree he called home and then fell through a shadow, turning up where he wanted to be. As a young teenager, he got into a fight with a manticore and won, after that the manticore had become his loyal companion and he had named it Sephtis (eternal death). He has been living in the Everfree with Sephtis ever since.

I'm currently writing on a story at the moment, even though it's one about Sunset Shimmer Scout will appear in one chapter, don't know when it will be published though, it's about 14k words long at the moment and still grow's longer and longer. I originally intended to publish it when I was done writing it, but maybe I will threw it out in the next few weeks and complete it later.
