The Pink Abyss continues!

So, some good news for you all - the revisions are nearing completion! I took a long break to focus on other projects and to take my mind off the minor blitz that occurred after I posted the original chapter 4. The new version is ungoing editing right now, while the fifth is actually getting close as well. This time around we'll be following Pinkie's victims instead of sticking with Twilight, which will help me avoid the giant tone shift from last time, or at least, bring it about in a better-paced way.

3317302 I suppose you could say that, though the voting thing doesn't really matter anymore since no one liked the way things were going, and it would take too much time to explore both avenues through multiple chapters. There's only one route to take now, for better or for worse.

It's gonna bug me not knowing what the other path was.

3317942 Honestly I don't remember which was which, but one involved Pinkie being properly evil and her and Twi both turning into Draconequi, while the other was more along the lines of my original plan, with Pinkie Pie being good in the end and the Elements of Harmony going back to their normal working order. You can consider this new route a combination of the two.

3319607 Well, sure, but I don't think I ever actually referred to that version as the "good" ending, only the "canon" one. If at any point I called it the good route, then that was a mistake on my part.

And yeah, lol. I am. Here's some extra details for the sake of it, in case you or anyone else is interested in hearing them: Neither route is truly good. One ends better than another, but both are bittersweet, and both end with the Elements losing a member - in one, (evil) Pinkie is sealed away and the Element of Laughter is put away in safe keeping until a new bearer can be found. And in the other, Twilight's anger and grief corrupts her so much she actually destroys the Element of Magic with a surge of dark magic, replacing it with a twisted version of itself. She's still the Element of Magic, but under a shadow instead of a beam of light, one could say.

Not that it matters now, but I don't see how she could "be" something that was destroyed, or how that could be called "normal working order".

(Regardless, neither of those endings sounds very satisfying. But neither is the cliffhanger that exists now; so I'm conflicted.)
