There is only so much one can do... · 7:37am Aug 12th, 2015
Enough said really... I understand that we write the ideas that either come to our head or are created with friends, co-authors etc. We all know that not everypony will agree or like what we write... I know that the stories I have planned are unorthodox, there is no denying they are hardly your standard MLP fanfic. However, if I did not write them what kind of author would I be to ignore the calling of a good idea. Some won't be popular, many will cater to an specific audience. One or two that I already have will get a rewrite. *Cough* 'The Queen and Her Servant' *Cough*. The reason I write is because I adore it more then any other hobby in the world. I've been writing for years, refining my style and since joining this site it has improved so much with the help of my friends/co-authors. Writing is a passion I could never give up so long as I draw even the tiniest breath. Several of my planned fics will be inspired from either playing games or experiences in games that I've had. Using elements from the game which I take no credit for and mixing it with this universe to create a unique story somepony might not of thought of. I fully expect ponies not to like them, however, I write with the hope that some will see the potential I do. That should I not completely botch the story, it will be worth reading. I'm by no means an amazing author, but... I do what I do and write what I write because I love it. I also thank the followers I do have and hope they won't mind a few odd specific fics. Whatever I write... I swear by this ice blue quill on my plot, that it will hopefully be worth a look. One of my coming soon fics nearly has it's first chapter. I hope to publish it soon and pray it goes through. Thanks to any who actually read this stuff, I know it means little or nothing in the long run, but I thank you mares/gentlecolts anyway.
If you enjoy unorthodox, have a look?
On the other hoof, I do agree, we should be wise enough to realise that not all will agree to what we write or say. Why bother? Just write the stories the best you can. In the hope that the once who do agree will enjoy them. Is there anything better?
Oh, yet another hostage of the ever powerful Muse?
There is no escape.
You can only be good, if you get that pen glowing, following the Muse to where the stories are taking you.
Seems I was the first to comment here?
3313991 I'm glad somepony agrees with me. I hope you might, in your spare time, look over my selection of fics. There are many more I plan to bring out as I said about the game inspired fics. I pray there will be something you will enjoy. That muse is dangerously powerful for me haha, I have around 16 - 18 planned fics I want to write. Given the story plots I have in mind I hope the planned fics will be good.
3315138 Somepony had to be the first to comment, could as well be me.
Well, who knows? Ifthere is one that finds my fancy, I would read it, even if I may be on the picky side in my reading.
With the time you have been around in mind, you do have a good selection of stories already. If this will grow further along as time goes, or if these are all there will be is for the future to let on.
Start drawing up the lines for the stories and see them develop while you write and publish them chapter by chapter. You can publish more chapters in a short time, if they are different or independent stories. Each story needs time to sink in, for your readers to find and enjoy each chapter.
Personally, I like to make good use of the story kreation sheat, when I initiate my stories, helping me see what the story is going to be. Once this has been properly set up, I have a more solid ground to write the story on.
I am not much of a gamer, even if I did play a few games. If the story is in any part based on a game shouldn't be much of a difference for the reader, so long as the story is good and well written. A cross-over should be fun and interesting to read, even if you never heard of the original story it was based on.
