Frozen Quill

I'm just here to take in tales of grand adventure, love and romance. Then perhaps spin a few of my own.

    New Resolve

It's been a very long time since I did one of these blog updates and for those of you following my work, you'd have noticed my chapter updates have been rather spread all throughout 2019. Well, in a hopeful attempt to get back into a rhythm I plan to be more active in my writing, getting those rewrites out and refining the projects I really want to. So, with any luck and hard work, I'll finish a

    Legacy of Blood: The Future

As with what seems to be the theme with my work, Legacy of Blood will also be getting an overhaul. My co-author and I have spoken about it a lot and weighed it heavily. The more we have talked about LoB and the more we have developed LoB and it's characters, the more we see that needs to change and just how many loopholes there are in the current version. It's evolved way beyond the simplistic

Two Spells, One Mistake: My recent absence

I feel I should reassure those who read Two Spells, One Mistake that it's still going and will be updated, however, I have no promises as to when. The current arc is being difficult, my co-author was very busy with college and I have been abnormally distracted from my work without much explanation. I know what I want to write, I know which direction she goes, but I struggle to keep focus

    Chained Luna Cycle: The Future

Hello again, my followers or any others who happen upon this post during the cold night. I know this won't apply to many of you, which is fine. However, for those of you it does concern, I'd like to take a moment to tell you about the stated fics future. My Chained Luna Cycle is a select taste, I understand this. Recently, I revamped and rewrote my Dance in the Midst of Midnight, I worked hard to

*sharp inhale, glancing at my last blog post ages ago* I think we can all agree what a shitshow that year was...

I struggle to find the words to convey what I want to say at this moment. to say depression held me tightly would be an understatement and I barely found the motivation for much of anything let alone working on my written pieces here. However, that being said in the past couple of months, things have been progressively getting better with one or two hiccups. Despite my prior lack of motivation, my proofreader has been able to help me at the very least talk about and as a by-product work on some of my fics in spirit. I want so dearly to continue and even wrap up some of my stories so I feel like I'm accomplishing something with my writing and give those who love those stories closure for them. The futures of my fics I can outline below so it's clearer what's happening with them.

Legacy of Blood - Being rewritten as a TON of stuff has been vastly improved and worked on in the background since we last wrote a chapter for it.
Dance in the Midst of Midnight - The rewrite of the original will be progressing hopefully soon as it's one of my more passionate projects.
Two Spells, One Mistake - My co-author and I plan to finish the current arc and one more before wrapping up part 1 of this fic. There is a ton more planned for it but both our styles and plans for this fic have developed a bit so we want to wrap up current events, have a chill arc then going into a part 2 sequel fic with the remaining arcs what would have been for the first fic.
When Worlds Collide - Is happily progressing when it can. Just need to go over and tweak chapters approved by both me and my co-author for this fic before we publish them. Life stuff has delayed the chapters for this one a little but we are actively working on it.
Chained Luna Cycle Universe - I have to say universe here as it also includes the three prequel fics which will also need to be rewritten to honestly work and be structured better. A sincere amount of thought has already gone into CLC in the background and I hope to vastly improve it through a grand rewrite which will hopefully be clearer on ideal and progression as it's been cleaned up a lot in the background between my proofreader and I. The Fox and The Moon, The Queen and Her Servant and finally The Librarian and The Alchemist are all getting rewritten due to this and will hopefully be improved.
This is Halloween! - I'll be honest, I've wanted to redo this fic for the longest time and finally do the title justice. I tried to do something special with it and include a lot of my dimensions which resulted in a rather jumbled Halloween themed mess that suffices to say with all the rewrites is beyond outdated and would be so confusing now. Thus, I'm hoping to keep it a seasonal special to one universe and develop a fic that'll be a Halloween version of A Special Hearths Warming for the CLC universe. I've thought about this one a lot and hope to orchestrate it in time for the day itself.

Well, I'm sure my proofreader can correct me on anything I missed but I felt the need to finally get around to this blog post to tell those that enjoy my fics, I'm still here. I want to finish my stories and give my readers the closure they deserve after having these fics out for quite a while now. Granted I am trying to balance university work, streaming on and off, with getting in writing where I can when the mood allows me. I badly hope to be able to put out some chapter updates extremely soon and get in something to make up for my estranged absence and lack of progress. I still greatly appreciate my recent followers and those who have been here longer who support my work by reading them and being patient. Thank you all, sincerely.
