There's already a remix of I am Just a Pony

Are you cereal? The song hasn't been out for 13 hours, and it's already a thing. Why can't I work that fast?

    Finally pushed more writing out

It's short, and the time between it and my previous update is not reflective of the work I put into it. I put it out cuz it seemed like good enough filler until I can properly plan the next major event in the story. I'm trying not to rush the plot like I did in my previous stories, and I really want to make sure I get it right with this one, even if it takes eons.

BronyCon Follow Up · 11:05pm Aug 9th, 2015

What a great 3 days these have been. BronyCon has come and gone, and it's time for me to take stock of everything that happened. I'll cover what I bought, what I did, who I saw, who I beat, and even where you might notice me in the recording of certain panels.

Day 1
After picking up my badge (which read "Press F to Talk") I decided that this was going to be my shopping day, when I dedicated myself to buying what I wanted before everything got sold out. Due to budgeting constraints, I wasn't able to pickup the treasure trove I did last year, but I did not leave empty handed. Firstly, I FINALLY FOUND A BAT!

And by that I mean a bat that didn't cost $300. I've been looking for a bat plushy since last year, but custom plashes being handmade and all, I didn't expect to actually get one in the foreseeable future. Lo and behold there was a vender selling these beauties for $25, and I did not let the opportunity pass me by.
Also...

Mount Buttmore.
Moving on, I decided to attend the Advanced Writing panel, which was hosted by none other than the admins for this site. When they mentioned Apocalypse Now, almost in passing, they reminded me that I really like Heart of Darkness. This is why I plan on making a fix based on that story, which I will upload the first chapter of once I am satisfied with it. You'll find me in the Q&A when I ask about whether guilt, rather than failure, can cause a character to develop.
The next panel I went to was the Daring Do Reading with G.M. Borrow. To put it more plainly, G.M. Borrow yes that one. When she walked in, she told the room that she'd just been reading to the children for an hour, and really didn't want to do anymore. Instead, we spent an hour having a Q&A about her and her stories. Being the courteous and empathetic man that I am I decide to ask, "when you were in school studying film, and told people you wanted to go into writing, how many people asked you, ok, but how do you plan to make money?". The answer she gave was that she never really told people what she was studying. Turning the question around, she asked if the reason I asked was because I was one of those aspiring writers. My response was, and I quote, "No, I'm actually one of the engineering students who probably would've made fun of you". And thus ended my adventure to make friends of the con's Daring Do fans.

Day 2
Since I had bought everything I wanted on Friday, the next thing for me to do was to kick people. To clarify, I was cosplaying a Payday 2 cloaker, and what else do clockers do but kick people down wearing clown masks? So my hunt began. I had seen (and also kicked) two separate groups dressed as the Payday Gang on Friday, but I failed to get any pictures of it. Fortunately, they were both still there and both still had their costumes.
This is the first I came across, a lone Wolf (har har).

Sadly, our friendship didn't last forever.

I then spent the next hour looking for the group of all four, but to my frustration I couldn't find them anywhere. So I gave up, and went instead to the Dos and Don'ts of fanfiction panel. While waiting in line, who should I see but the clowns themselves, having a mock gunfight with some mock Russians? I masked up, but before I could take off to do my job, the girl behind me asked for a picture. Of course I accepted, a quick selfie with a Rainbow Factory employee...

...and set off to jump kick clowns. This was the result.

The other dude wasn't a cloaker, but everyone is welcome to the boot party.

Day 3
This was the short and slow day, since my brother needed to be home in time for work. I mostly walked around, had my picture taken, and bumped into some friendlies. I saw Rainbow Factory girl again for a quick fist bump, as well as getting to bump chests with Knight Brolaire himself. In the vendor hall, my friend who was volunteering pointed out a shirt that read "Step aside Coffee, this is a job for ALCOHOL", which I would've bought had I not had to buy textbooks later this week (and also I already own about 50 t-shirts. Real number). The one panel I went to was the fan comic one, but I didn't ask any questions. I mostly wanted to see who the authors of certain comics were and what kind of concerns they have. The panel started off rough, but the panelists seemed to be getting used to the stage by the end. After that, it was 3:00, and I had to head back home.

So that's it. Another year come and gone. Time to start saving for BronyCon 2016. Hopefully I'll have a new costume, and more money to throw around. That said, I had a blast this year, and really hope all of you who also went did as well. See you next year.
