That's why I use pressure plates and the traps I... appropriated... from the jungle temple.
Of course, I use the plates you BUY. You know, the ones that are only triggered by NOT the player.

When 1.3 came out it kinda brought a boatload of content. Such as the Moon Lord, tons of new animated and unique dyes, extream mode, new mounts, revamped npcs that fight and ofc. Pink Team.
