I too have an engine that pulls like an animal, custom weathered by me, it can pull 70-100 12 ton coal wagons

There is a toy store I go to frequently, that has a vintage Lionel Steam engine and that thing is heavy. It is made from cast iron and if you turn it over you can see the hand wound copper coil for the electric drive motor.

I had an old Lionel New York Central set (Made in USA) that my dad got when we were in California a long time ago. I lost some of the freights cars over time and the train was falling apart. But the steam engine and the coal tender still works like the day we bought it. The lights, sounds, and it goes so fast that it would fly off the tracks.
