I just submitted a story, and I hope that readers enjoy it. I would say I put a lot of effort into my story, but I'm certain it isn't nearly as good as it could be. You see, I did not get anyone to edit it for me before I submitted, and that's always a help. Also, I feel I could have spent another month perfecting the dialoge and adding descriptive prose. I didn't write at all about how some of the characters smelled, and I feel that was important.
