I really, really did intend for a new chapter to come out today. I honestly did.
In fact, I wrote about 700 or so words of the next chapter, before I got stuck. Afterwards, I took a break, which lasted a whole lot longer than I anticipated. I managed to kill most of the evening just slacking off in the hotel room watching TV. Afterwards, I decided to try and write some more, but couldn't make anything work. So I went for a walk.
On that walk, I managed to pretty much plan out the entire chapter in my head. When I got back I deleted a bit of what I had already written because I thought it was kind of pointless, and was going to rewrite it before getting distracted by another TV program. Then, I was brought out for dinner where I ended up getting pretty drunk, so no way am I going to attempt a chapter in my current state.
I still have the entirety of chapter four mapped out in my head, though, so I'll most likely write it up tomorrow, after breakfast or something.
Did I mention I'm on holiday? That's why I kept getting distracted and ended up getting drunk and why I'm in a hotel and failed to put up a chapter.
So, this is me saying sorry for shirking my responsibilities to you, the people, but also to just say I'll have the next chapter up tomorrow.
