Over the top animeness aside, he is right about one thing. It is our soul and will that make us human. If we forsake those for power and other such tempting offers, we are little more than hollow fragments of what we once were.
It wasn't magical offers that led man to the moon, it was the greatest minds of the 60s collectively putting their heads together that led to Neil Armstrong stepping onto the lunar surface all those years ago.
It wasn't some otherworldly force that led to the splitting of the atom in New Mexico seventy years ago, it was the collective geniuses of an entire nation that led to the end of the greatest confict in human history with... minimal casualties.
Now I shall end this and prepare another blog for a more important thing happening this weekend for me
