my thoughts on "do princesses dream of magic sheep"

Given Iv seen other people do this and I felt like sharing my opinion on the episode I figured I give this a shot. WARNING SPOILER ALEARTS you have been warned if you have not seen this episode yet. So lets take it from the top, so it starts with Luna dreaming of turning into nightmare moon, and Tantabus turns out to be a magic blob, fair enough. so it escapes from Luna's dream and starts going after other ponies starting with the mane 6, so said ponies are shown not having had a good night and tired. So Twilight sends a letter to Luna who shows up instantaneously and tells that this blob called Tantabus will eventually get to the real world less they stop it, Hay spike can send letters to more then Celestia, nice to know. Anyway the 6 have a sleepover at the castle and Luna tries to catch Tantabus, so what do the mane 6 dream about lets see: Rarity dreams of dresses and the nightmare is they try to eat her? ok any way Pinkie Pie even in her sleep cant stay in one place for long, no surprise there and hay nice transitions from scene to scene. Fluttershy dreams of a giant angel (the bunny) brushing her hair and it turns into a monster, Applejack dreams of apples also no surprise (although on paper redundant to say the least), Tantabus ruins her crop and escapes. Apparantly Rainbow Dash dreams of fighting changlings, I am not surprised given her personality, Tantabus turns it into sunflower land and then we get to Twilight who dreams of the library of the Castle of the Two Sisters if I'm not mistaken thought I guess its a generic big library, still clever. So Twilight is attacked by bat books, literally, Luna tries incasing Tantabus in crystal (ok so does every alicorn know that or did Candace teach her that one?) but fails, everyone wakes up and then after a brief planning session of creating a Ponyville wide shared dream mane 6 go back to sleep to try again. Luna is forced to ask for help do to the strain of keeping the dream together, they mane 6 start helping some ponies and Applejacks brother Big Mac apparently dreams of being a unicorn. So Mr. rich gets freed from his own home and Fluttershy frees Dr. Hooves (I think that's who it was) from it foot by turning into flutterbat, anyone whose read the most recent issues of the comics can probably give a better explanation but hay a reference is a reference. Also Big Mac turned into a alicorn as well, next alicorn prince anyone? so everypony is told there dreaming and start fighting back, Spike turns into the Knight of himself from "a dog and a pony show" and mount himself atop giant Derpy, giant Derpy is best pony lols also Lyra and BonBon are inseparable, literally are "catdoged" (if you don't get it cat dog was nick cartoon about a dog and cat that where stuck together from the waist up I know there's a term for this I cant think of it right now). Anyway Mr. rich throws money at Tantabus, scottale gets her wings (kill me for that) and Fluttershy brings in a version of Angel I can only describe as that two tailed fox from inuasha if you know what I mean. short time later Luna says "I cant hold it much longer, Equestira will fall because of me", apron witch Tantabus grows bigger, twilight realizes its feeding off Luna's guilt. Luna then reveails that she created Tantabus as a punishment to herself for what she did as Nightmare Moon by giving herself the same nightmare every night (record scratch) YOU DID WHAT!!?? Luna to quote Fluttershy "why would you do that." she say's because so she could never forgive herself for what she did, but really I sure everyone would say otherwise. After rainbow turns into a wonderbolt, and Luna states shes no better now then then, the Mane six point out that what Luna is doing shows she's not the same pony and the dream ends, the episode ends with Luna dreaming of I guess some paradise or peace.

My Personal thoughts well the episode was GRATE to me. The visuals where grate and more importantly YA LUNA DID SOMETHING INTERESTING and got characterization, with that said thought a few things, one I could be wrong given I only discovered the comics and what not a few months back I cant say Nightmare moon really did much to Equestria I mean sure Celestia suffered but that's about it for my knowledge. Two nice to know Luna felt guilty about what she did but wasn't Luna eclipsed also showing that she's not Nightmare Moon. lastly um while I'm sure Luna didn't see this coming but ya think she would have made sure what was going to happen couldent, I'm just saying, on the flip side it does have plenty metaphors for things like Luna's guilt represented by Tantabus becoming a stronger the more she felt bad, and the moral I'm assuming is don't let guilt get to you over something you did in the past. The shared dream was a nice showing of the visuals with the fogy background and some of the small details like swet drops. Ok I think that's all I have to say so these are my thoughts.
