Rambles of a teenage writer.

I totally did not rip that title off of "Adventures of a Teenage Foal Sitter"! Fairly good story. Little to dark for me. Coming from the guy who writes about evil Celestia that's saying something! Not really actually. I'm really not that big of dark fics. More of A shipping guy. I find that fairly ironic considering the only fic I'm writing has a "Dark" tag on it, and I think I would be a fairly poor shipping writer, never really having had any relationships to base my writing off of.
If you couldn't tell by now this really isn't going to go anywhere important so if you ignore this if you want, unless your trying to learn a bit more about me, or get some spoilers (see below) then go right ahead with reading this.I'm liberal, hence my Person Name being Doctor Freedom. I had an old OC but he didn't even have a name and I didn't like him that much so I scrapped him and replaced him with Doctor Freedom.
My OC is somewhat based off of Freedom/ Dom from "The Cost of Utopia". He shares colors and a similar name but not much else. Many of you have probably noticed the irony of a pony named Freedom working for a tyrant. Obviously intentional and will be elaborated on later on in the story.
WHY THE BUCK DOESN'T TAB WORK RIGHT IN BLOGS! Sorry ranting for a moment. Another thing, I have to wait to post a comment after I recently posted one ON MY OWN FIC. I know that it's in place to stop people from spamming comments on other people fics but why would I spam my own fic? Whatever on to more important topics.
I initially planned for TCoU ("The Cost of Utopia") to be fairly long but I feel like I am planning out a novel at this point. It has already exceed my priorly longest story. (Non pony related from years ago.) That was 21 pages this is on... 35ish now I think? I may take a break from writing TCoU for a while and start something else cuz I have a bunch of ideas floating around. Most are based off music, I'm a big music person, playing percussion and having taken music theory myself. Sadly I am without a band and do not currently put out music within the fandom. Back to the length of TCoU.

*SPOILERS*
The reason I say novel length is because I plan to have a large war between the two sides that will take... maybe 20 chapters? That's a rough estimate, don't quote me on it. Anyways, as I introduce more and more characters into the fic I realize how big it's going to become. I keep going through possible shipping couples to be included for the future sequel. I don't want to spoil to much even in the spoilers lol. Lets just say Viney (which is supposed to be a play on Vinny, a nickname for Vince or Vincent) will probably have a thing for Berry Punch. Makes sense right? I'm currently going through a TON of ship possibilities for a LOT of the other charachters. Needless to say the sequel will be much more light than the current TCoU. I feel as though The current fic is somewhat lighter now then when I started writing it. I also feel like am (sadly) dropping less references, or at least not ones that are quite as large/ obvious.

Now for a bit on how I write. I generally have a start point and an endpoint for, say a chapter and for the fic as a whole. Past that I might have the next chapter laid out in my head that's it. I like writing that way, gives me some room to breathe while still feeling fairly organized. Maybe that's how I should do it when I start college this fall? Organized with room to breathe... Whatever. Another thing about my writing, I'm fairly good at grammar but I am a TERRIBLE speller. In this blog alone I'm up 12+ spell check fixes already. It runs in the family what can I say. I am also a not so good essay writer. I'm sure college will change that, or at least make it less noticeable. I'm rambling, then again that was in the titleso... whatever.
Holy crap I've been writing/ editing this for 30 mins! (I edit as I write, at least as well as I can.) Alright, I'm done for now.

Edit: Oh yeah I forgot if the whole thing about Shining Armor and Cadance not having seen each other confused you it's because this fic takes place right after the second episode of the first season, hence the who "ZOMG luna u returned!@ Do u want ur jobs bac?" from Celestia in chapter 1. Just some clarification if u needed it... not that any1 is going to read this cuz I didn't link it to TCoU... crap.
