Hey folks!
So, since this is my first blog post I thought i'd take a moment to tell you a bit about myself in more depth. As my profile thing said, I like anime, dark MLP stories, and playing video games. I even have a YouTube channel dedicated to video games, fanfic readings, and a weekly talk about what anime i'm watching. If you want to listen to some fan fic instead of reading them, feel free to check me out here: My YouTube
Since you're here you probably care more about the Fan Fiction readings I do and might want to know more. My focus on them is primary Dark stories that involve insanity, murder, torture, or other mature themes. But, i've read a few here and there that don't conform to this particular genre. Notably, I've read Cupcakes, Fallout Equestria, Rocket to Insanity, Silent Ponyville, and many more. Most of my readings are shorter fics, but I do have the occasional long one thrown in there. Most of the videos tend to be one chapter each, unless the chapter is a bit too long.
Anyhow, I do all that in my spare time. IRL, I'm attending college to get my BA in Computer Science while working at my university's IT department. So my YouTube stuff forms around that stuff. But, I don't have much of a social life away from my computer, so when i'm not working or in school I tend to be creating content or just playing games.
==========
Anyhow, on to relevant FIMFiction news. For those of you unaware, my first major fanfic, The Apocalyse Ponies: Origins is now complete. It follows the lives of the Apocalypse Ponies before they became the all powerful beings, back when they were just normal ponies. It is set apart from the MLP universe and has no real ties to it. In essence, I created my own little world about the ponified Horsemen of the Apocalypse. You can either read it, or listen to my own recording of it on YouTube.
In other news, I come up with tons of ideas of fanfics, but not many of them make it past chapter 1. I had an idea about having Equestria be some ancient society that an archaeologist was going to adventure to, one was about a random colt who transfers into the Ponyville school and goes psychotic and kills his classmates, etc. I've written parts of them, but nothing really stuck and I never had a clear plan of action for how the story was going to go, ya'know?
But when it came to the Apocalypse Ponies, I wanted to do it because it was something I was passionate about and that hadn't been done before to my standards. In the end, i'm pleased with how it turned out. I've even considered converting it to a human story, making it longer, and turning it into a novel. But I don't think i'm that ambitious. :P
Regardless, we now come down to the New Story part. So, Fallout 4 was recently announced. I also started playing fallout 3 and just finished reading Gamma Deekay's Fallout Equestria: Merchants of Hope. And seriously, if you haven't checked out Gamma yet, do it. He's a great author. But all this stuff built up inside me an idea for a new story. A story that takes part in the Fallout Equestria universe, set only 35 years after the Megaspells rained down.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you: Fallout Equestria: Icicle. My story centers around a unicorn mare named Ratchet and her Artificial Pony companion CORA, or Cryogenic Observer and Rehabilitation Assistant. Ratchet is the lead scientist on a cryogenic project called Icicle, and she becomes its first, and last test subject. As shortly after she enters the cryo-pod, the Megaspells fall and seals the fate of Equestria. Ratchet awakes to find herself in the new wasteland Equestria has become and decides that even though she is the only product of her research, she will take it upon herself to fulfill the goals she had for Project Icicle.
I have finished the first chapter, and am nearing completion on the second. I just as of this moment submitted the story on here, so it should show up for you all shortly. I still have to get a picture for it and what not, but I have the scaffolding of the story all ready in mind from beginning to end. The only thing that I need to do is fill in the gaps and details to bring the world to life.
But i digress. Thank you all for reading, and look forward to Project Icicle in the future!
