My Thoughts on Season 5 · 3:04am Jun 10th, 2015
First off, let me tell you something. I really dislike Twilight’s Castle. Why? I don’t want to be one of those people who say that it was just “merchandising” because it is the accepted idea. However, I think that this is true. As we have seen from the Season 5 premiere, the castle could be of major relevance in the future.
Am I the only one that noticed that the eight episodes of Season 5, compared to all the other episodes, contain more tears than any previous season? Rainbow Dash and company took the cake in Tanks for the Memories, but some nice shedding of tears happened in Castle Sweet Castle. It honestly surprises me that after everything that has happened, so far Season 5 is trying a whole new idea of getting the audience emotionally involved. In my opinion, it is great storytelling, especially in a show that has to put limitations on how much drama they can portray without getting sued by parents.
These are my thoughts on Season 5 so far. I might go into more detail later on.
