I will begin my findings by correcting a common misconception some of my readers may hold.
The proper term when referencing to the Alicorns is “ Deus Equus” which can be translated directly to “Wise god” in our language. Indeed, the more common term of “Alicorn” has its origins stem rather simply from “All” meaning “Gifted” and “Corn” which is generally applied to all Pony kind (Not just Unicorns as some would assume.) I would make it clear that I use the somewhat simplistic and biologically incorrect name "Alicorn" in lieu of the more accurate term simply to save confusion for my readers, who may confuse the “Wise Gods” with dragons.
It is prudent to begin cataloguing my findings by firstly focussing on the more solid evidence I have managed to gather during my fifty years of study; By focusing on the minimal ruins that they have left behind: their legends and their descendants knowledge. I will give my readers a moment to appreciate how unsubstantial this "Evidence is".
However, I have formed a number of conclusions that can be interpreted from the facts received.
Point one: It is highly likely that the Ancient Alicorns constructed most of their cities and kingdoms in the sky, not dissimilar to the modern day Pegasus and the city of cloudsdale. From high atop the clouds, the lords of this powerful race ruled over those unfortante enough to be their subjects with an iron will and a cold heart.
Point two: The Ancient Alicorns were incredibly advanced in the arcane skills compared to the modern day magic user. Many spells that still completely baffle the modern day Pony (Long distance teleportation, Celestial mastery and time travel are the most obvious choices.) were used to run the kingdom on a day to day basis with ease.
Point three: There is no evidence of Unicorns or Pegasi leaving among the Alicorns, however there are several sources that seem to show that the humble Earth Pony had a relationship with the Alicorns. (The exact nature of this relationship can only be described as disturbing. But I shall illiterate in a later chapter)
