Rambling about I Have Returned · 4:42am May 24th, 2015
Dam, holy dam. I can't believe that I Have Returned is well into its final act. It's going to feel so strange after the story is finally done. After all, I Have Returned has been on the fore front of my mind for 2 whole years now, and now It's probably going to be all over in about a month.
I originally came up with the idea of the story back in june of 2013 ( aprox 2 years ago ). At that point in time I was writing a shitty Vinyl x Octavia romance fic on fanfiction.net, which was really terrible. I didn't like the prospect of giving up on it, but I did. I think I only made it about 5k words into it before I cancelled the story. Within the months that followed I worked on my writing skills, and planned out I Have Returned ( which at that time was called 'Halo: Shattered Soldier' ). When november of 2013 came around, I finally released Chapter 1, and re named the story to I Have Returned.
At first, the story was going to be about Twilight Sparkle living her normal life, until she starts to get weird visions of some alien's fighting. It keeps going and going until Twilight finally realizes that that alien is her, and that her real name is Jane Arimondo, and that most of her life as Twilight Sparkle is nothing more than fake memories. From then on, she decides to gather what and who she can to finally face off against the being who did this to her, and uncover more about her past.
Eventually that idea got twisted into what we have today. I still don't know if it would have been better to go with that original idea, but what's done is done.
I Have Returned is currently being uploaded to Fanfiction.net. So if you likes reading stories on that site instead, then you're in luck.
Anyways, progress on chapter 25 is going fairly quickly. Until then I'll see you guys on the online Halo MCC battlegrounds!
