Practice and a hint · 5:17pm May 20th, 2015
Hi, just a quick blog post to say that I'm practicing for a largish project in the future, two hints, it'll contain mind control and is a sequel. As for the practice, it's just a description of a room, but I'll appreciate any feedback.
The walls of the bedroom are a warm red. Multi-layered, it dips low at one end of the room allowing access to the large window that took up the entire western wall, providing excellent city views, along with a tantalising sunset. The floor here is a hot, dark red carpet. The small steps between these two layers are made of glass, held up with two rails, running below from floor to floor. On the upper level, in the center there is a circular, red, maple wood floor. Kept in check by two marble paths, that ran from the door to the steps, and then down to the window, where they join in front of the window. At the wall, coming outward is a circular bed, plush, white duvet and soft, pillows providing the owner with a good nights rest. On each side is a night table containing in the left one, pyjamas, and the right, underwear and socks. A decorative lamp on each, but an alarm clock on the right one only, along with a black glasses case. On the wall directly above the bed is a water feature, a waterfall that runs down from a central area, down several layers, before pooling in a hollow area in the head-board of the bed, before being sent back to the top of the waterfall, making sure that the water doesn't overflow onto the bed. To the sides of the room stand two large televisions, each covering their own northern and southern walls. Currently, they are both tuned to cameras outside, creating the illusion that they are windows looking out on the bustling city below. However, they can both be connected to the myriad of games consoles in front of them or to a television box. All of this if placed on a glass table with a large, white couch in front, inside the arm-rests of these couches, various snacks may be found, including soft drinks, various types of champagne, crisps and mixed nuts. The floor here matches the floor near the bed, a wooden floor made of red maple planks. On the innermost eastern wall, where the bed sits, are several paintings done by various different artists, all themed upon the room in which they are placed, the building in which the room resides and the hectic city outside.
