What the Heck is a "dere" type? · 5:35am May 18th, 2015
Yeah, I've heard the term the term of 'dere' for a while now whenever I watch anime. Most of you guys have watched it before, do you know what it is? I know about Tsundere, usually the tomboy, and pretty rough and hot headed. But I have also heard of Yandere, Dandere, and Kuundere! How many 'dere's' are there?! make it stop!
Tsundere is a character type where the person likes someone, but hates to admit it and will often act the opposite way. They will hurt and make fun of the person while actually liking them deep down.
Yandere is the character type where they are obsessed to the point of crazy. They are not just 'madly in love', but are so obsessed that they will hurt anyone who starts to get close to the person they love.
You can see a pattern right? I once read that Tsundere was the combination of angry and cute while Yandere was the combo of crazy and cute. These examples might not be 100% accurate, but it hints that it at least means it has to do them being love interests of some sort.
3078851 you would not even know how much more I understand this. Thanks bro! (yandere reminds me of myself at times, I can get pretty obsessive over something and be creepy while doing it.)
