"Make New Friends But Keep Discord" Reveiw [Spoilers] · 12:05am May 17th, 2015

Holy shit.

I-I-Just- Where do I begin with this episode?

First off, this is my new favorite episode: not just of season 5, but of MLP all together. You may or may not know that Fluttercord is my favorite ship in My Little Pony, and I've been waiting for an episode focused on just them for a long time. I was disappointed that they didn't kiss at the end, but it was still freakin' amazing.

Secondly, I loved how Discord was getting jealous and pissed throughout the whole episode when he saw Tree Hugger and Fluttershy together. That one part where his eyes lit up into green flames when he saw them hugging made me burst out laughing. My family was confused.

Third, there was that Metal Gear Solid reference when Discord was at Sugar Cube Corner. Also, he roasted Twilight's flying ability.

And I must say that I thought Tree Hugger was a hilarious character. She reminded me of a hippie stoner, and the way she has squinted eyes, dreads, and hair poking out from her mane made me laugh.

I already said I loved when Discord was getting mad in this, but I especially was cracking up when he grew claws, ripped a hole in the universe, and tried to send Tree Hugger into that puppet show dimension.

The Schmooze was amazing, and Maud was acting like a bitch. In addition, we saw Discord's house, and if you're like me, you've been waiting to see that since he first became a character.

I think season 5 is turning out to be really great; way better than all the other seasons, in my opinion. The writers seem to know that they're not just dealing with little girls anymore. They're making enjoyable content for adult's viewing pleasure. Keep up the good work guys, I know MLP will be great 'till it finishes.
